We’ve been meaning to try Izzy’s Cafe for a while, so we decided to try it this morning. We arrived a little before 10:30am. Plenty of parking on street and parking lot next door. We walked in and noticed it was a little loud but not overly crowded. You can tell they get alot of regulars here and we are about to become regulars ourselves. One of the waitresses said we can sit wherever, which I liked having an option. My husband ordered the strawberry stuffed crepes and I ordered the eggs benedict with hashbrowns. We both ordered coffee and liked the coffee. My husband says he liked his strawberry stuffed crepes, but they were very basic and nothing special about them. I loved my eggs benedict and hashbrowns. The waitresses were all very nice, it was a decent price too. They have a huge menu, so we will definitely be back again to try their lunch menu next.

A little hole in the wall, walk down memory lane, route 66 cafe. Didn’t even know this existed. What an excellent find.
The service was excellent and the menu extensive. They also allowed for customization.
We tried an omelette with cheese and bacon and a side of fruit. I had poached eggs with side of fruit and a famous zucchini muffin. The muffin was hot and enough to share. Prices were reasonable and in line with other establishments.
Love the memorabilia decor. The place was packed in the front but there were tables available in the back.
We will be back.

I got the half of French toast breakfast. It had a slice of French toast cut in half. It comes with two eggs and two strips of bacon. I don’t know what they do to the French toast here but it is really delicious. The waitresses are all nice and friendly, and the service is good.

The staff is very attentive and friendly. The food is great. The was ordered medium and it was seasoned perfectly. The coffee was good also, didn’t have that taste of burnt coffee.
I parked outside, but I found out the parking lot behind the establishment can be used by customers.

Awful my food was cold the waitresses don’t wash their hands I watched our waitress handle money bring out plates and constantly scrap left over food into buckets. When we shared with her how unsanitary this is, she then explained why they choose to do that there is no gloves nor did I see any sinks any sanitizing dispenser they think spreading germs is no problem they are too busy to wash their hands which is exactly what she told us.

Waited 45min to get our food just for my wife’s meal to be cold and my biscuits in my biscuits and gravy were hard as a rock. Not to mention there was hairs in my coffee and a table of 4 who ordered after us got their food 15min before we did. Do not recommend, will not be coming back.

My husband and his buddies have been going to Izzy’s for a long time and rave about the pancakes. I finally had the chance to go myself. I now know first hand that they make some of the best pancakes I’ve ever had! And the bacon? Perfectly crispy and oh so delicious! I plan to go again with my BFF’s frequently!

This place has the BEST banana crepes ever! The service was excellent! I can’t believe I have lived in El Cajon my entire adult life and haven’t eaten here until now. I highly recommend this place. Food is good, prices are reasonable and the service was excellent.
