Izakaya 68 in Hunt Valley is a fun, relaxing spot that makes you feel like you’ve taken a trip to another country. The experience is highly interactive; you order via a QR code at your table, and adorable kitty robots bring out your food. These robot waiters are a great entertainment element and even love to be petted! While the tech is the star, plenty of human staff are always nearby to help. The food is consistently delicious, though you should be prepared for longer wait times during busy hours. It’s a clean, unique, and joyful dining experience all around.

Izakaya 68 offers a great atmosphere and a truly unique dining experience. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a satisfying meal without feeling overly stuffed afterward.
Having personally visited Japan, I can honestly say the atmosphere reminded me of my time there. The setting, energy, and overall vibe felt authentic and thoughtfully designed.
One of the standout features was the service — robots actually delivered the food to the table, which made the experience even more memorable. At the same time, attentive staff were always nearby to answer any questions and make sure everything went smoothly.
Most importantly, the food was absolutely amazing. Everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor.
If you’re looking for a fun, modern spot with great food and a cool experience, Izakaya 68 is definitely worth a visit.

Came here again because my first experience on Christmas Day was so pleasant. This experience was also excellent. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food and the robots. Service was friendly and efficient. The human servers and the robots were excellent. The food was delicious.
This was my first time at Izakaya 68. I was looking forward to having my food served by kitten inspired robots because I thought I wouldn’t need to tip. That concept turned out to be incorrect. The robots didn’t have arms so the food was transferred from the shelves on the robots to the table by human beings.
The dishes are small and inexpensive so the cost of the meal depends on how many dishes you order.
I enjoyed the seaweed salad, the chicken wings, and the fried squid.
Because of the location of the restaurant, you have to go up a flight of stairs to get from the parking lot to the restaurant. This is a problem for wheelchair riders. There may be a way circumvent the stairs. I’m not sure.

Easily one of my new favorite restaurants in the DMV! The yakitori, ramen, sushi, desert, sake, everything we had was beyond delicious. The quality of service is also excellent, not to mention the hospitality of the staff. I live about an hour away and am willing to travel back regularly just to eat here again. Phenomenal job on the entirety of those who work at this restaurant. Thank you so much!

Highly recommend Izakaya for a flavorful, relaxed meal. We liked everything we ordered. It was easy to order and then having the food delivered by cat robots was fun. The spicy ramen and Karaage chicken were our favorites but everything was so good! The sesame balls for dessert were the perfect ending to a great meal. We will be back!!

So I order from here every couple days but every time I order they never put chopsticks in the bag not even a fork nor napkins. The food is pretty good but the customer service could be better. I also ordered ice cream tonight to try mochi for the first time with my friend and thank heavens he had a long day because this cannot be served to anyone and they put it in the bag with hot food. It’s ice cream….like no really it’s ice cream next to hot food and I ordered 2.5 hrs before they closed so. I can’t order from here again.

I just ordered take out but the food was delicious and warm. I got the pork shumai and that was delicious. I also got the shrimp tempura udon and that was very good, I wish I got a little more noodles but it was a good price for what I got.

I ordered for pickup through Uber Eats because the restaurant advertised a “Buy 1 Get 1 Free” deal. However, when I picked up the food, it was obvious that this wasn’t a real BOGO. They simply split what should have been one normal portion into two smaller containers and called it “buy one get one.”
This feels misleading and dishonest. A BOGO promotion should mean you receive two full portions, not one portion divided into two. I won’t be ordering again.

A place full of Gems. I get the bad reviews that say the portions are small and the food is just okay. Not all menu items to are created equally. The meat skewer things are a rip off in my opinion. But there are great options. My recommendation is to pick a soup/noodle/entree style plate and get a bowl of rice on the side. It’s a decent size meal for like $10ish. The sushi rolls are also pretty good. I would describe this as a great place to try new things without being too wasteful of food or money if you don’t like it.

They have a wide variety of Japanese food including sushi, ramen, skewers, and rice dishes. The ordering is done at the table using a QR code and it is delivered by a robot (sometimes with a server to help place the dishes or drinks). The booths are cozy and make it feel private, and since you can order food or drinks whenever you like, you don’t end up missing the servers. While it won’t be the best sushi or ramen you’ve had, it was still quite good and the prices were very reasonable as well. Overall would definitely recommend.
