We stopped here for dinner on our way down Hwy 2. It’s a beautiful location. Very quiet. Nice vibe. It is right on the BNSF tracks with views of the mountain pass. For train buffs, there is a Great Northern diesel electric engine and caboose (apparently you can stay overnight inside each).
The menu was simple and very good. We had a BLT and a chicken sandwich. Each were high quality and tasty. We sat on the patio and it was delightful. The staff were friendly and efficient. Prices were in line with what I experience at home in Houston.

I’m pretty sure I could eat here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and then finish it off with a nice drink in the charming bar right below your feet. OR outside, if you don’t wanna move. This food was seriously incredibly and I’ve had some pretty good food before. Nothing tops tallow fries and the Brussels sprouts. Yummmmmyyy.

Got brunch here on the way into Glacier Park. I guess there was a accident somewhere down the line and the train was 13 hours late. Good thing I was not waiting . Had the beet salad and a tuna sandwich. Not bad at all. The server is a good guy too.

The atmosphere is cozy and full of rustic charm, with friendly staff who made us feel right at home. After a day exploring Glacier, this place was the perfect way to unwind. Can’t wait to come back!

We sat outside and enjoyed the scenic mountains and watched several trains go by the inn. I had the wedge salad that was not only huge but also delicious. The steak and fries appetizer was hardy enough to be a meal. My husband had the ribeye and said it was tender and delicious. We would definitely dine in here again!

The burger was by far the best on my 5 day waterton/glacier trip, my husband was also pleased with his steak&frites. A pleasant surprise for sure. Staff and atmosphere are super friendly as well.

The best food you’ll find in the canyon BY FAR and honestly better than most of the food in the Flathead valley. Worth a drive out just to eat, even if you’re not staying at the hotel. Super friendly staff and awesome atmosphere in both the restaurant and the bar. I love what they’ve done with the place.
