Iveys Restaurant: A Culinary Gem in Robertsdale, AL
Reviews
Veal with mushrooms and artichoke sauce linguini was perfect, as well as the shrimp and seafood gumbo and the egg plant and shrimp parmigiana!
And all very reasonably priced!
Brooks waited on us and he took great care of us! We highly recommend Ivey’s!
try the fine dining establishment in Robertsdale for my birthday dinner.
This restaurant met and exceeded my expectations and the reviews I studied before giving it a try. We started with garden salads that were freshly made as well as homemade blue cheese dressing and ranch dressing. Dressings and salads were delicious.
My wife had the Jack Daniel Pork Tenderloin. Juicy , Tender and flavorful , served with a sweet potato cake that was over the top !
I tried the Seafood Crepes with St Ivey sauce. These crepes were filled with crab, shrimp and crawfish in a rich cream sauce then topped with their signature St Ivey sauce which was a rich spicy seafood sauce. This dish was no joke , I could not make this dish any better even though I am a Saucier’ by trade.
The portions were very generous, so make sure you come hungry!
The prices were unbelievably reasonable, especially for the quantity and quality. Kristen, our server was polite, professional and most importantly welcoming! She anticipated our every need!
The ambience was elegant yet comfortable and would be a great date night or romantic evening experience.
Ever so often you find a hidden gem, and this place is one of those gems! We plan on celebrating our anniversary at this restaurant as well!
Started with an appetizer and side salads. Caesar dressing was on top. The crawfish pies’ dough felt hard, like it was previously frozen. It didn’t taste fresh. There was lots of rice, almost like a gumbo inside of a pastry.
The seared duck, ordered medium rare, tasted good, but the zucchini and squash on the side were the best part of the dish. The rice had too many uncooked grains, so my boyfriend eventually stopped eating it to avoid hurting his teeth.
The catfish entree was amazing, despite an overpowering and salty sauce that was poured all over the perfectly crisp and crunchy fried fish and made most of it too soggy. I would definitely order the sauce on the side next time.
All things considered, we had an okay experience. The ambiance suggested that the service and quality would be a little better, but we weren’t too disappointed. The place has potential, and there are a few small improvements to be made. I would give it another try in the future.
I had the grilled chicken and vegetables with a salad.
They have homemade dressings, blue cheese, ranch and thousand Island.
Never leave without a slice of the carrot cake. I get a piece to go every time.
