Seafood Cocktail ($16) – A chilled tower of fresh crab and plump shrimp, topped with sesame seaweed salad for a nice twist on the traditional presentation. The cocktail sauce had good kick without overpowering the seafood. Clean, fresh, no complaints—though at $16, it’s a lighter portion if you’re hungry.
Service & Vibe: Sat at the bar top, service was efficient for a 2 PM visit. Nothing remarkable, but no issues either.
Bottom line: A reliable waterfront spot when you’re craving fresh, no-fuss seafood. The sautéed clams are the move. Keep clam.
The atmosphere was wonderful—relaxed, lively, and classic Seattle. We sat in the bar area at a high table and appreciated that they offer happy hour cocktails and food, along with a full dinner menu.
Ray ordered an Old Fashioned and absolutely loved it—the bourbon selection was great, and the balance and mix were spot on. I had a mule, which was also very good. For food, Ray ordered the cioppino and I had the coconut shrimp, and everything was excellent. Truly marvelous from start to finish.
Our server, bartender, and mixologist was Justin, and he was a pleasure—gracious, knowledgeable about the menu, and clearly very skilled at mixing drinks. Ray also had a chance to speak with the manager at the end of our visit, who was equally kind and welcoming.
If you’re looking for great drinks, delicious food, and a classic waterfront Seattle atmosphere, this is absolutely a place we would recommend.
Halibut had bad flavor and was over cooked but had good potatoes and side veg. Another dish was Alaskan salmon the first time it came out it was dry and hard, then the second time it was raw. The shrimp scampi was really oily and shrimp was rubbery.
The manager was kind and tried to do his best in making the situation better for us but we just had to leave.
To the staff you all were sweet and helpful. Friendly smiles and a warmth made the visit just a little bit better.
The food was flat out not good. None of the dishes had a redeeming quality.
Big fat bummer!
During our trip to Seattle, we picked to eat at the historical Ivers at clam acres. I have to say the cocktails were presented very well and very delectable. The food which includes the pretzel bites the clam chowder, and the halibut and salmon were beyond delicious. The server we had she was gracious, kind, informative, attentive, and seemed like she really wanted to take care of your customers.
Now let’s get into the salty part and I’m not talking about the food! When we departed, we were walking down the sidewalk and realized we left a bag on the table within 15 minutes , we returned to the restaurant!
My significant other went in to the area where we were seated and asked our server if she had found the bag. She graciously stated yes I gave it to the host upfront. You can retrieve it there next to my significant other, went up to the host and asked about the bag. The host which I’ll identify the young man with the purple hair was wishy-washy about the bag. He finally went to the closet and retrieved a bag and said is it in a blue Seattle bag? My significant other said yes it has a little boys hat and a little boy’s T-shirt in it.
The host then said well what color is the hat? What color is the T-shirt? My significant other said the hat has a bear on it. Then the host still trying to be antagonistic said well what color is the bear . At this point I was very irritated with the way we were being treated to retrieve our property. We had just left the place. It wasn’t that busy and I did not think we should have to go above and beyond to prove that it was ours. I finally stated the T-shirt and hat is for my grandson. There’s two receipts in there with my credit card number on them give me the bag. And then I said you’re being extremely rude after retrieving the bag.
After we started walking towards the door, the host with the purple hair kept saying very loud loudly bye now bye-bye as if he wanted us to come back for a confrontation.
My significant other turned back around cause he had enough of the behavior and instigating antagonistic ways of this host.
He informed him that his behavior was horribly inappropriate and the way he treated us was disrespectful.
We should not have to plead with the host of the business to get our property back and it should not be that complicated and then to be treated in such a manner after we just dropped about $150 on drinks and appetizers.
Iver’s whole hospitality environment says upscale, however, the way we were treated by the purple haired host really put it below getting a hotdog at a truck stop.
I I travel all over the country and out for my j career and I am dumbfounded why a restaurant of this caliber would have such a disrespectful and bad taste host greeting their customers in setting the tone for the start of the evening and the end of the evening!
If our entire dinner would’ve been like this, we would never come back! And we will be telling all of our friends of the good and the bad! So just remember as management you know all it takes is one person on your staff to penalize the rest of your staff on your customer Base whether they are repeat or they take their business elsewhere and trust me in Seattle there’s a lot of competition!
