This is a small restaurant and it’s lovely because it’s family run and owned and not pretentious at all. Some friends brought me here on a Thursday evening and almost all the tables were in use which is a good sign. The service was warm and friendly and welcoming. I felt like I had been dining there for some time with the warm welcome I received. I like that the menu is overwhelming and extensive however it’s sufficient enough where there’s something for everyone. I ordered the lamb which was excellent. The portions were adequate- not to much and not too little. Though there are only about 2 wait staff, the overall waiting for the meal was acceptable. This restaurant is a little gem and I would recommend it.

Pretty good place to eat near Tucson! I believe they only had one employee working at the time of our visit . I’d recommend you make reservations ahead of time. We got lucky as we got the last table available. The food took a little while to get and my friend’s side chicken seemed like rubber. Other than that , the food was delicious. We visited on a Saturday right before dinner , around 5.30-6 o’clock.

Called for pick up order. Arrived 17 minutes later (told ready in 15 minutes). Arrived at take out and waited for someone to notice is there then finally food ready 22 minutes later, with no one even coming back out. Gyro platter was just pieces of meat and pieces of pita with taziki sauce on side . Spinach salad just leaves with some candied pecans and tomatoes . Dolmas was good and hummus average. It’s funny how you are asked to give a tip when you check in, which I did , but wish I didn’t .

The food and the service were great. We started with the meze platter so good. If I could eat wheat I would ha e you’re up those pitas. They were abundant and warm. My husband loved them. I had the lentil soup absolutely delicious and a Greek salad always a favorite. My husband had the Gyro platter another fan favorite that did not disappoint.
We will be back the next time we are in Tucson.

This place is awesome! The food took me back to my childhood when my great grandma was making phyllo from scratch to prepare spanakopita and my mom was preparing chicken rice soup. Food is freshly prepared and delicious; service was great and the ambience even better. Food is joy at Its Greek to Me 🙂
