Very nice owners who go the extra mile, especially at the end of the day. I really liked the brisket and the sauce. Great job there as well as with the sweet potatoes and cabbage. The sausage was overcooked for my taste but still flavorful. Good spot to visit for local authentic barbeque.

Love this place! You definitely get your money’s worth and everything is homemade! Love the potato salad and the cabbage, everyone was really nice when you walk in and they treat you like family. We got the two meat plate with two sides very good food and it’s right up the street from where we live…we will be back!

We stumbled upon this hidden gem looking for another restaurant, but we were so glad that we ate here. The ladies welcomed us, as if we were family, really made us feel like welcomed.
I had the Fried Pork Chop, Cabbage, and Blackeyed Beans, as well as a little taste of my buddy’s brisket, and let me tell ya’, it was Slap Ya’ Momma Good ( ok, so they told me NOT to slap my momma, but you know what I mean, lol). The food was fresh and the place has character.

We called cause we didn’t knkw if they were open or not on sunday. Of course they were. We got chopped beef sandwich and greens and red beans. It was so good. We will be coming back for sure. The lady working there also was really nice.

Dodd was good but we waited almost 45 minutes to get the food. They didn’t even give us the courtesy of telling us that we going to have to wait. Enjoyed the food but the service sucked.
