Great food, very good service. It takes a little long for food to get ready but thats because they make everything fresh and made to order and the food is really worth the wait. Food in coconut oil tastes really good. Amazing fish n chips, best corn bread in town.

Before we comment about the food we would first like to share that we had the pleasure and privilege of sharing an invigorating wonderful conversation with Mama during these times of COVID while her family prepared. She is a character, a charmer and a hands on deck woman, and it was joyful to meet her and her family. Social distance and PPE were in full affect by her and her family crew members. We of speaking with her while her family prepared of food.
This an outstanding restaurant with something for everyone including gluten-free. This family restaurant is truly a throwback to the southern past. The enormous serving size of beignets, well seasoned fried okra, fish, chicken and other sides were delicious. If you are in the area and looking for an unique good home comfort southern food place/experience look no further. You can not go wrong picking this place. Please be sure to call your ahead to place your order in and have a little patience because everything is cooked like “southern down home” and made to your order.

Beautiful family run business! I had the jerk chicken and the red rice and beans. The food was delicious! The chicken was flavorful and juicy. My husband got the biscuits and they were to DIE for! Portions are generous and I was able to take home lunch for the next day. Highly recommend It’s All About the Flavour.

I FINALLY found a restaurant that makes southern food with LOVE. Sooooo good! And the customer service was amazing as well. Mama and her family made me feel so welcome. As a southerner, it is such a blessing to come across such a sweet spirit as I continue to adjust to living in Connecticut now. They definitely have a new regular customer. I can’t wait to try more of their delicious food. So excited to witness the coming growth of such a deserving business.

We ordered the ribs with three sides, jambalaya, and Cuban sandwich. Everything was so delicious. The ribs just fell off the bones and had a wonderful smoky flavor. The best ever. Loved the Cuban sandwich. The meats were so tender. Large enough to feed two people. Jambalaya was spicy and tasty. Love this restaurant and the family is genuinely nice. Wonderful atmosphere.

Bursting with flavor! Just like the name says. We loved the Caribbean curry chicken and spicy fried chicken. The mashed potatoes had a unique and tasty gravy. The biegnets melt in your mouth and are delicious. With a little added butter, cornbread and biscuits were excellent too. My only issue was they said ready is 30-35 mins, and it was actually 60. Worth the wait, and I will be back.

Great restaurant owned and operated by an even better family. I walked in about 10 minutes before my food was ready for takeout and Mama Moncion pulled up a chair across from me and got to know me as well as giving me a bit of her background. She’s beyond radiant and makes you feel at home. I could not have appreciated the service any more than I do. As for the food, it was just as good as the service. I had the Cuban and would happily order it again. I will definitely be coming back to try more.

WOW!! First time ordering takeout from IT’S All about the Flavour last night and it was amazing! Fried chicken was excellent, green beans were done to perfection, but the best was the Red Beans and Rice. No Lie –> This was the best Red Beans and Rice I have ever had!! Ordering directly from the restaurant was easy, communication was great and we will definitely be back, to try other menu items…but will order the Red Beans and Rice again!!

“Mama” really took care of our two families at our rehearsal dinner while still following all the requirements and restrictions of COVID. we had a VERY custom catering request since we decided to do it at the last minute when no restaurants (with food we liked) would be able to seat all of us, so our family kind of made up the catering menu on the fly and we worked together with Mama to make sure the servings would be right, including making sure there was enough gluten free chicken for those who needed it! She assured us that the gluten free fried chicken would be completely contaminant free, and gave me a heads up that the food would take longer because of the process mixed with COVID restrictions. She did her best to get us the food as fast as she could, using multiple vehicles to deliver the food to us at once to limit trips to and from the restaurant!
She also gave us a discount based on the veteran and medical staff and educators in our families. It was an excellent warm entry into our wedding weekend, and a great way to start uniting our families! Thanks Mama!

Out of this world fried chicken. Everything is fried in coconut oil which is a plus. The sides are very good also.
