Amazing atmosphere!! Amazing food! Loved the chicken Alfredo.. And I have never found chicken Alfredo to be very good until having the dish at this restaurant prepared by an amazing chef. The owners, the staff, the food and the cooks are all what make the italian joint what it is… Satisfaction! I would not chose another place to enjoy an evening out due to their determination of your leaving with a smile on your face and stomachs full of wonderful food!! Thank you for your dedication in creating the perfect place to enjoy a night of going our to eat!

Absolutely fantastic! Everything tasted like it was freshly made. It tasted like food that you would get in Italy, very authentic. My family will definitely be back. They also allow you to bring your own wine so I would definitely do that the next time I come.

The Name DOES NOT The Restaurant!

The food was a five star, it was both delicious and fresh Italian cuisine.
The service was a one star, as it took us an hour after ordering to receive our food. Multiple tables gave up and left while we were waiting.
The price was a three star, as it was too expensive for the location and what we paid did not match the portions we received. Salads are not included and are $6 each.

The place was as advertised, the food is awesome. I had the pasta with meatballs and sausage and it was delicious. The service was friendly and fun and the atmosphere is fun with Frank Sinatra on the stereo.

As the local guide said it is a bit pricey, but the food is delicious. I will b back

Food was excellent, homemade, and seasoned well. The waitress was very friendly, patient, and took time to explain the menu and to offer suggestions. Our family of 5 shared the Chicken Alfredo Pizza and sampled 3 grinders, plus enjoyed an appetizer of fresh bread. My favorite was the waitress’s favorite–the vegetable grinder. Food is a little pricey for our family of 5 to return on a regular basis. However, the authenticity and quality are definitely there! This is not your typical Olive Garden fare (which I refuse to eat anymore)….Just loved the olive oil and garlic dipping seasoning that came with the bread…ordered extra for my vegetable grinder, and I was in heaven! Husband and I would definitely be regulars if baked cannelloni with white sauce ever makes it on the menu–it is my husband’s hard-to-find absolute favorite for which we are always on the lookout….and I have no doubt this chef has the ability to create some of the best!

Cozy little restaurant. Locally owned. Great waitstaff. The food is very good. We usually get the chicken parmigiana with the chicken grilled, broccoli rabe’, and garlic bread. The chef is always accommodating and friendly. We love this place and support it.

Small cozy casual joint. Was recommended to me by locals who frequent restaurant. Traveling from the north east it is tough to find really good Italian food. I had a dish that consisted of breaded chicken cutlet covered with eggplant. Dinner and tiramisu for dessert was delicious, my only knock was the graveyard(sauce).

The reason I have to give two stars instead of one is because the food was really good. So it’s a shame that I have to give it such a low review and I will tell you why. This was our first time there and we made reservations. We walked in and we were not greeted by hostess for at least 10 minutes. Then she didn’t ask if we had reservations and sat us and it was rather busy so let’s say we walked in 10 minutes later we wouldn’t of had a table because she didn’t ask if we had reservations . The first excuse was we are really busy tonight and I’ll get you when I can. Second excuse was we only have two servers. Third excuse after bringing only four little pieces of bread that were bite-size the server says these are slim pickings I don’t have any more bread left but then brings out more bread to other tables. Fourth excuse I asked for sweet tea and there was none made which is fine but she came out 10 minutes after us ordering our dinner with my husband’s unsweet tea and said I’ll have to make sweet tea but didn’t bring me water offer any other drink while I was waiting another 15 minutes for my drink. The food took about an hour to come out which I’m really not complaining about because if you are at an Authentic Italian restaurant you’re going to wait for a while to get food that’s handmade and cooked right there when you order but if you are experiencing bad service and the atmosphere is not nice then it makes the hour seem like forever waiting for your food. The only positive thing I have to say is the food was so yummy. Unfortunately we will not be back because of the atmosphere and service. For the prices that are very high for the food which is worth it it does not go with the atmosphere which I mean very bright lighting that is annoying in a place that looks like a bar instead of Italian restaurant and the servers wearing T-shirts and jeans. 🙁 such a shame because I have to say the food was amazing.

Listen up. First of all, I hardly ever write good reviews when it comes to restaurants. I’m a chef and a connoisseur of foods, so it’s really hard finding a genuine Italian place that I really like. Coming from a family indigenous to New York City which is known for its authentic “Italian joints” (pun intended), we grew up with recipes going back generations down the family tree. So now that you know this review is coming from someone who grew up eating some of the best Italian food in the country, I’ll write about my experience at the Italian Joint restaurant in Gallatin, TN.

The first time we tried to eat here was right around the time it first opened. We couldn’t even find a parking spot it was so crowded, so we left. That did not turn me away though. I read reviews of people complaining that their food took too long, there was a wait, blah blah blah. Obviously the joint is kinda small, I really think the owner belongs in a high-class building with more seats and staff – but people need to realize that he is just starting out and the food is so good, it will grow.

We waited a few months before we gave it another try due to lower traffic after all the hype died down. It was a Thursday night and the parking lot was almost empty. We were seated right away and the service was actually above average for a startup like this seeing as we were served rather quickly compared to chain restaurants like Olive Garden (where the service is actually terrible literally every time we go.)

My wife ordered the Veal Parmesan, kids had pizza, and I ordered the Chicken Alfredo. The Veal was ok, I’m just not a fan of veal. The marinara could use a little sweetening, it’s a tad bit on the flavorless side, but still pretty darn good compared to wanna-be Italian joints. The pizza was really good (New Haven, CT style – not NY style so don’t expect that because it’s totally different in my opinion) and no complaints there at all.

Now on to my dish, the Chicken Alfredo. I am an extremely picky eater when it comes to Italian food – I grew up with the best recipes you could imagine. I make a killer Chicken Alfredo at home that is hard to top. But I have to say, this guy’s Chicken Alfredo recipe is the absolute best pasta dish I’ve ever eaten in my entire life! That is no exaggeration either. I mean, the blend of thick, rich, creamy sauce and explosion of whatever spices he is using is amazing. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it, I will order it every single time I go back. In fact, I ordered it again on our second visit just two days later (last night) when I had some of my family members from NY drive up to try it out with us. They were very impressed.

I did notice, however, that the second time I ordered the Alfredo, it seemed a little lighter on the spices/seasonings and wasn’t bursting with as much flavor as the first visit. But don’t be alarmed – the reason for this is because they actually hand-make this food to order with homemade recipes from generations of his own family members, it is not ordered from a factory in frozen bags or boxes like chain restaurants. This is authentic, freshly seasoned, and hand-made Italian delight that you cannot find in any chain restaurant.

My wife ordered the Chicken Marsala the second time, my uncle ordered the Chicken Parmesan (which I loved, much better than veal), and my aunt ordered the Shrimp Alfredo. The chicken Marsala was the bomb! Absolutely insane. The Shrimp is perfectly seasoned and actually resembles the Shrimp-on-the-Barbie you would order from Outback Steakhouse. Wonderful with the Alfredo and bursting with flavor. I couldn’t stop eating the Chicken Parmesan.

The garlic bread is delicious, they bring out french bread or sour dough with an Olive Oil and cracked pepper/seasoned dip. It’s just like what you would get at Carrabba’s in Hendersonville, except better.

The only complaint I have, is the building and location. This guy really deserves to be in a 5-star facility on main street. The location on 109 does him no justice at all. He is truly a master.

Walking into this place sets you back to days of the Mafia. Setting is classy! Its real Italian food you only can get in Ny or Nj. Simply amazing. Owner, Chef, and staff are great. If you want a great dinner and relaxing atmosphere this is your place to go.
