Nice place. We sat at the bar and bartender was nice. Drinks seemed reasonable.
The rolls are ok, nothing super special to me, though they do come with butter to help the flavor – 6.5/10
We had an oil/balsalmic dip with the rolls, 7.8/10.
The salads were good, 8.0/10.
The meals for our group were all delicious and large with lots of cheese. I had tortellini alfredo with chicken. The flavor was fantastic 9.0/10, but I added a good chunk of pepper making it a solid 9.3/10. The only reason it wasn’t a perfect 10 was the chicken. The chicken was really bland other than the alfredo sauce, and almost seemed boiled rather than sauté or baked. ☹️
We each had dessets which were all amazing. My tiramisu was probably the best I’ve ever had (I’m no conissour of it) but absolutely amazing 9.8/10. Everyone else loved their desserts too (no one tried the plain or strawberry cheesecakes, but not due to any particular concerns).
Service was very good with lots of refills. Place is somewhat quiet atmosphere, and felt typical italian vibe.
I do like this place a lot and would be very happy to go back again!
I have been going to this place ever since they opened in 2003. Back then, Roanoke was a much smaller town. And because of the way the town grew, all of the many new restaurants were built around each other in a different location from these guys. And unfortunately people are forgetting about these guys because they are now kind of off by themselves. PLEASE don’t forget about this place. It is WAY too good of a FAMILY owned restaurant too lose. I would really hate to see this great group of people and really good food go away.
