We just moved to Raritan, NJ from Philadelphia. I was looking for a good Italian Bakery as I was born and raised Staten Island and live for all things Italian Pastry and Italian bread- and Staten Island sets a very high bar for great Italian food and pastries.
I tried this bakery yesterday and the pastries and service were PHENOMENAL.
Then today, I went back for a cappuccino and just one pignoli cookie and met a lovely Italian gentleman who I assume was the owner.
I told him how amazing the pastries were from yesterday and he was so kind and warm- even sharing some great Italian restaurants in the area.
The cappuccino was amazing, as was the cookie and he even sent me out with a loaf of Italian bread on the house as I was walking out the door!
Do yourself a favor and come here for all your pastry, Italian bread and cappuccino needs!
Super excited to have found this place and excited to make it our go-to Italian bakery!

I ordered an Italian rum cake…one of the layers was dry and hard. It tasted like it was leftover from the day before or later. I purchased jelly filled cookies or what was supposed to be jelly filled cookies… barely any jelly. Just don’t get the feeling there is any pride in the product. (I’m from Hoboken and an amateur chef…I know what a good product is supposed to reflect; not here.)

I was looking forward to trying out their pistachio croissant and ended up disappointed.
The croissant didn’t taste fresh and the pistachio cream was not good.
I can try other baked goodies if I go back. Staff and service were pleasant.

Quite frankly, if your bakery doesn’t have octogenarians sipping miniature cups outside, you ain’t in the right part of town, and you know it.
This place is world class! I mean while I’m waiting, 4 customers come in pronounce sfogliatella 4 different ways and they don’t even blink, like they are machines. I love this place so much.
