Been dining here for nearly a decade since it was open. The MOST authentic Japanese restaurant (vegan) in Shrewsbury since it’s run, managed, cooked and served by Japanese staff! Approved by all my Japanese friends!(unlike those westernised Japanese food) Pics just don’t do the justice.

Excellent! Absolutely delicious food. We had the Bento Box, Tonkotsu Ramen plus tempura mushrooms. All was delicious, flavour bomb! ❤️ The atmosphere is cosy with a friendly and relaxed service. Fully Japanese Vegan ✨ I recommend booking in advance.

I brought my daughter here for her birthday. She’s vegetarian but also has a dairy allergy so vegan was the way forward.
The food here is simply amazing, packed with flavour. I’m a staunch meat eater, usually I would avoid something vegan but that’s a lack of knowledge on my part. We had an amazing meal, the tempura mushrooms were fantastic as were the vegetable gyoza.
I opted for the creamy, spicy ramen and it was simply delicious. If you’re in Shrewsbury you should definitely pay a visit.
I want to make a special mention for the young lady waiting the tables as she kept every table going , excellent job.

I was so well received in this little Japonese restaurant. I tried to go on a Saturday but it was fully booked. I went again on a Sunday and it was almost empty. The food was amazing and the lady serving was so nice! I felt really welcomed in here.

Had such a wonderful meal here. The ramen broth was the tastiest and most authentic we’ve had in such a long time! The tempura was beautifully light and the sauce was amazing. The desserts are not to be missed either, unique flavours, perfectly done. A vegan restaurant that definitely shouldn’t be missed by anyone! A must when visiting Shrewsbury!

Would certainly eat there again, no hesitation.
Although personally don’t like a mandatory 10% service charge as standard, but do like that they have 5/5 Food Standards Rating

Visited shortly after returning from Japan because I missed the food. Despite being non-vegan myself, the quality of food is so good that you forget the absence of meat and just appreciate the flavours. The small selection of alcohol on sale was an added bonus as I started to miss umeshu as well, and being able to pick up a bottle was great.

My fault to begin with, didn’t notice it was a vegan restaurant. Atmosphere was just off the charts, loved the authentic japanese vibe matched with the old english building and interior, cozy place to dine in. The server was very friendly and accommodating, we brought a pizza for my daughter who wouldn’t eat anything else and though it was not allowed, they accommodated us for that. Not crowded and it was an intimate feel inside. Food was really good considering it was vegan, though the ramen was just not the same as the usual since it was vegan. Everything else was reallty good. Prices are okay. Had the bento, the tempura was really crunchy and tasty. Gyoza was amazing.

Wonderful lunch in beautiful surroundings. The lovely old medieval building complementing the delicious Japanese food. Service was impeccable and the prices for a lunch bowl, very reasonable. A fabulous place to get away from the crowds and have a peaceful lunch.
