That was incredible! I’ve been wanting Turkish food lately but haven’t been able to make it happen (we are traveling in an RV). We stayed a few nights at Gamble Rogers and decided to hit up Istanbul on a whim. What a treat! We got the family style appetizer for four and family style meal for two with added lamb shanks and Iskender- little, little, put it on the middle! I don’t even know what all we ordered- it was so much food! Somer was a wonderful host and waiter- he explained what everying was and we so much fun. The absolute best lamb shanks I’ve ever had. Everything was wonderful. Thank you, Somer, for a wonderful meal! Next time we are here we will be back! I forgot to get pics before so here are pics of the aftermath!

This is a cozy restaurant off the main road. Sonnell is the owner and waiter the food is delicious. We had shakshuka eggplan (exquisite), lentil soup (very good), grape leaves (excwllent), falafel and the best was the kubide. The meat was juicy and tender and very well seasoned. We also shared a delicious salad.

Genuinely some of the most delicious food Ive ever had in my entire life the waiter is kind, patient, has a wonderful sense of humor, and gives excellent service. He is very attentive and you can tell that the regulars love coming here. The restaurant is very homely and clean and there is a lot of love and passion put into the food and the atmosphere. Definitely recommend coming here if you’re looking for good food and place to take a moment and relax from your day!

Food was really nice. Service was friendly and welcoming. Always appreciate Meditteranean cuisine! We had two lunch specials ($12.99 each): Doner/Gyro and Adana (ground lamb skewer)- both were good and decent lunch portion w/2 sides- and a nice variety of sides to choose from – Greek fries, Regular fries, salads, rice, etc. We plan to return to try other options. Parking was a bit limited. I thought the exterior of the building looked cutev and homey.

Amazing Food with authentic Turkish taste!
No words to express how good the food, service and atmosphere was. It reminded me of dinner I had in Turkey after years. ❤️❤️❤️❤
Extremely beat in class, tender and juicy Mix Grill Platter. Never had it anywhere in USA so far.
I think this restaurant will bring me back from Charlotte, NC again and soon. Highly recommended to all the food lovers.

I really enjoyed my experience at Istanbul Cuisine. The mixed grill was delicious, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The dessert was also amazing — a great way to finish the meal. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and everything felt fresh and authentic. I would definitely come back again and recommend it.

So I’m totally flabbergasted by the one star review that was given by someone. My experience at this restaurant has never been anything but excellent. If I could give 10 stars, I would. I am an actual customer who eats at this restaurant 2-3 times a week. The food is clean and flavorful. The service is wonderful(like family is serving you). This is one of the very few restaurants in Ormond Beach that I feel is top notch.

We had lunch here today and absolutely loved it. The food was delicious, with truly authentic Turkish flavors — the Adana kebab amd Turkish coffee were especially good. The service was very warm and attentive, making us feel welcome right away. On top of that, the staff kindly shared helpful local tips on places to visit around the area, which was a lovely bonus. A wonderful small Turkish restaurant that we’d happily return to and highly recommend!❤️

Wonderful Turkish option in no fuss digs. What it lacked in atmosphere it made up for in food quality and service. The waiter was delightful and attentive without being intrusive. Knowledgeable about the menu as well. The mezze (dip) sampler was reasonably priced and stellar, especially the babaghanoush and shakshuka, two of my favorite versions of these dishes. The Turkish baklava with pistachio was divine as well, and properly portioned quite small, as it’s so rich. Got a proper glass of beer as well, not a bottle or can, which was a nice touch. Partner got a falafel pita with pilaf and Coban (shepherd’s) salad. Slight variations from the norm e.g., the latter with dried mint instead of fresh parsley and just butter in the former, no spices or orzo. Free soda with the one lunch special. Overall it was a great experience for a cuisine option we don’t see too often in Florida. Would recommend visiting.
