A Delightful Taste of Turkey in Tucson!
We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Istanbul Mediterranean Cuisine & Bar in Tucson. From the moment we walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home. The menu is filled with fresh, flavorful Turkish and Mediterranean dishes made in-house—from tender doner kebabs and vegetable-filled wraps to vibrant salads and rich desserts. Every bite showcased quality ingredients and authentic flavor.
The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to help us navigate the menu. The chefs (and the whole family behind the scenes) clearly take great pride in their craft. Whether you’re a vegetarian or a meat-lover, they’ve got you covered with something vibrant and delicious.

What a surprise! Have experience in the middle East. This took me back. Spicy chicken pita sandwich is mildly spicy and came with a mound of fries. The beef/lamb pita sandwich had a minimum of 1/2 lbs of tender meat. Of course, lots of fries. Almost perfect except for two items. The pita itself was not as special. Good, not great. I’m not a fan of onion, but a sweet thinly sliced purple onion is needed. The onion was big chunks and my oh my strong. We will be back as the prices are fair, the menu extensive, and it is a nice sit down place. Good service and no long wait for food.

My wife and I absolutely love this place. We’ve been coming here more and more lately and every time the food is amazing.
Tonight we had a small mix-up with one of our orders, and the owner personally remade it and drove it out to me himself because he didn’t want us to have a bad experience. That level of service is rare and says a lot about how much they care about their customers.
The food is always fresh, flavorful, and some of the best Mediterranean we’ve had. Between the quality of the food and the incredible customer service, I highly recommend this place.

The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars was the deep-fried items were a little overcooked. Everything else was amazing. The waitress was helpful and kind. The decor is simple, yet inviting.

The atmosphere was so warm and inviting, with the most beautiful Turkish lamps creating a cozy and authentic feel.
The food was the real star of the show. The hummus was creamy, and the pita was warm and soft.
The traditional Turkish tea was the perfect.
Highly recommend this restaurant!

Normally I wait a few hours or days so I can think things over…no need for that here….a normal Monday at lunchtime ans the place was packed without feeling crowded…quick and good service and even my requests were all acknowledged without fuzz (replace rice with fries) and food came quick..everything was authentic and well seasoned as asked for…
Two bones of content…the pita was sliced in small ribbons for “presentation”….I came to eat and not for a plating show…and nr2…the food was probably $2-$3 priced above my average for the year…well worth it though

Overall a very great experience! I have eaten jere three times and will certainly be back again. A lovely environment perfect for dates or celebration dinners. I highly recommend their wraps and coffee, but everything on the menu is delicious. I’ve tried all of the dessert assortments and each one is just as mouthwatering as the last.
10/10 establishment, very clean and the restrooms are accessible for wheelchairs!

Loved our first visit to Istanbul, their food was refreshing and generous and the staff was a delight. Recommend the donner plate. Even made a special birthday for my partner.

We ordered The appetizer combo, Doner and Istanbul plate. Kicking off the meal with the appetizer combo was a great idea. The combo was fresh and flavorful.
The Doner and Istanbul plates were savory and the Istanbul plate had just a touch of spiciness. The salad and rice complimented the meat very well. The more we ate the more we discovered The depth of flavor the food had.
We wrapped up the meal with baklava and ice cream. To this point the food was extremely good but the dessert took it to a whole another level! Please save room for dessert!
Sude was our server and did an excellent job she was knowledgeable of the menu and provided great service. I highly recommend this place and we cannot wait to return.
