Nice place and great welcoming service. We were served complimentary fire roasted bread and two small sauces. We ordered the sampler appetizer that had an assortment of things like hummus, babganoush, dolmas and other items that required dipping of their fire roasted bread into…. Now get this, we used our leftover complimentary bread for the $25 appetizer, when we ran out and asked for more…. We found out later we were charged $2.50 for it! Not cool. We also order the beef and lamb gyro platter with two salads. The salads had very little dressing. The beef and lamb mixture cut from a vertical rotisserie tasted funny…. Not like your typical lamb gyro. It was $24, overpriced in my opinion. The place is quaint, and culturally decorated with items for sale. I doubt I will go back.

Cozy place at Veterans. Area is decent with plenty of seats. Clean and tidy. Service is fast and food is presented freshly in great way. They have scrumptious out of their oven bread with few dips aside. We tried all types of grill and all were so good. We chatted with the chef and he was kind and funny. Prices are very reasonable. Will be back.

Went there because I miss Istanbul this time of year. As someone who’s lived and dined in Istanbul for half a decade in many different restaurants of different locations and price points, I must say, this restaurant exceeded my expectations. The food was better than the food we had in Istanbul. The atmosphere was nice, friendly staff and the decor is good.
I should also make an honorary mention of the bidet they recently installed, lol. Good to know they didn’t Americanize on that.
Went there twice, inshallah will go there again. The staff and owner seemed polite and welcoming. Didn’t feel any pressure for accompanying my kid.

Highly recommended by some friends. And I’m happy to say we are still friends. Very good food. Beef & Lamb Adana Kebab had an incredible taste. Also had a taste of their Pide (pizza)with Lamb. Now thats some good stuff. For dessert, I had the Dubai Chocolate Cheesecake. First off, it’s not what you would call Cheesecake. But what it is is freaking delicious! Can’t wait to try they again.

Tucked into a strip mall on Veterans is yet another Mediterranean place. There are a bunch of them in the area. This one is nicely decorated and cozy. And the menu is definitely different from your typical Mediterranean Fair. I think the prices are a little bit high but that could just be nowadays it seems like it’s hard for anybody to get something to eat for under $30 which is just difficult sometimes when you just want a quick bite I found the food to be good quality but the flavors were somewhat Bland. I think things could be spiced up a little bit more. The service was a little on the slow side but otherwise this is not a bad place

This place is top-tier! We are always on the search for the greatest of ethnic foods from the Middle East. The quality of the meat was exceptional! The doner sandwich was so flavorful and HUGE.bthe lahmacun (Turkish version of lahm bl ajeen) was delicious especially with the garnish. The service was excellent, we felt very comfortable and well take care of. It is a quaint little spot with great decor. If you haven’t been here, it is an absolute MUST!!

It’s crazy that I finally found the best lahmacun and rice pudding after searching for such a long time. I also ordered the lamb shish kebab. The rice pudding is amazing. Not too sweet and perfectly satisfies your sweet tooth. Highly recommend it. I would give it 10 stars if I could. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First time there and we were very well pleased. We’ve not had Turkish food before, but of course we have had other Mediterranean foods, particularly Greek. We anticipated it to be a little more spicy and flavorful and it was. We will absolutely return.

As a Turkish man in America, I can absolutely confirm that the taste of this Adana Kebab was quite better than in most places in Turkey where it originates from.
You must have some tea and enjoy the turquoise wall covered with priceless plates and lamps that tell the story of Turkey. The atmosphere is stunning, and service is quick if not busy.

I visited Istanbul Grill during a business trip to New Orleans and decided to stop by for takeout on my way from the airport to my hotel. At first, I was a little hesitant—the area didn’t seem great, and the place looked like a small hole-in-the-wall.

But the moment I stepped inside, my impression completely changed. The restaurant was bright, neat, and very clean. The decor featured colorful Turkish souvenirs that gave it a warm, inviting atmosphere.

The host (likely the owner) was incredibly welcoming, helped me with my order, and confidently assured me that I would enjoy the food. While I waited, he even brought me a complimentary cup of Turkish tea, which was a thoughtful touch.

When I finally sat down to eat at my hotel, I was blown away. I had ordered the Chicken Adana Kebab, which came with rice, salad, and perfectly grilled tomato and pepper. The flavors were outstanding—easily some of the best Turkish grilled food I’ve had.

Istanbul Grill is a hidden gem and absolutely worth a visit if you’re in New Orleans, even if it’s a bit out of the way.
