We are the first Turkish Restaurant in Houston. Our charming little restaurant at the heart of Rice Village has been part of the community since 1998. All these years we have stayed true to our belief that a good food must be made passionately from the heart. Every day at dawn our kitchen starts to prepare each item on the menu from scratch with unique spices and ingredients. Whether it’s our famous brick oven bread or our award winning rice puddings, the key to our success has always been our commitment to integrity of our recipes.

Turkish standards, with vegetarian choices, served in a casual setting with outdoor seating.

Nice dining…
Last weekend we went to this Turkesh restaurant for dinner. This place has an indoor area as well as a covered outdoor patio. They offered fabulous complimentary hot bread paired with a savory herbed dipping oil. We ordered Turkish tea and coffee. Our server was friendly and attentive. The food serving time was not too long. We started with Lahmacun, followed by Yogurtlu Adana and Sultan Kebab for our main course. We enjoyed the meal, but the yogurt and tomato sauce combination was a little sharp for our palate. I loved their Turkish baked rice pudding. Overall, we had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere. Since on-site and street parking were unavailable during peak hours, we opted for the Rice Village garage.

We tried this Houston gem on a Friday night for dinner —we enjoyed their covered outdoor patio filled with plants and moody lighting…We ordered the humus, which was smooth and fresh, served with spices, oil, and thick pita bread. The bread was warm and soft and paired so well with the hummus. The mixed meat grill was plentiful for 2 adults. It came with chicken and beef kebabs, cubed chicken tandoori, shredded lamb, steak, rice and a salad — a feast fit for a King where you get to try so many delectable Turkish flavors. Truly recommend this gem!

Food were delicious bustling with flavors very good quality, but less quantity. Some of the food prices are reasonable, but I have a complaint regarding.Chops it was $32 with four pieces of chop. I think the price is not reasonable but it’s OK because it was in the high-end neighborhood but we thoroughly enjoyed the food. Everybody should give a try if you’re not going to try what would you know you’re missing the taste so try it and enjoy delicious food

A nice Turkish restaurant. The service was great, especially Ms. Kaila made it exceptional, she was so pro. The speed of the kitchen was also good, no need to wait long. And the taste was very well, at least I can suggest red lentil, lahmacun, mix grill, baklava and Maras Ice cream.

This was my first time trying Turkish food and I thoroughly enjoyed multiple aspects of this experience. The service was very attentive and friendly, you get oil and bread for the table. It was SO GOOD. The bread is fantastic. We got Dolma, Sultan Kebab, and Petlican Kebab. It was my first time trying Dolma and it was amazing! The meat (lamb) in our entrees were full of flavor and delicious. The rice was pretty plain tho on my Sultan Kebab. Otherwise I really enjoyed this dining experience.
The parking is minimal but they do have a couple spots in front of the restaurant. They also have outdoor-ish seating. It’s kinda like a tent patio with fans. It was a nice place to sit on a warm sunny day.

The place was clean and ambiance was okay. Their food was good. Not as tasty as I want it to be, but it was good. Their bread and sauce tasted very good, I was already half full even with the complementary food alone. So our additional orders really made me so full. We ordered the Istanbul pizza and kebabs. They seem authentic. Their serving size was huge, so it was worth it. You get the price you pay for. Servers were attentive and kind as well.

It was truly a wonderful experience. Everyone was incredibly kind, warm-hearted, and welcoming. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, and we left with big smiles on our faces. We came as a group of five friends, and each of us was genuinely impressed and satisfied. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to everyone. The atmosphere was so warm and authentic, and they reflected the beauty of Turkish culture in such an elegant and heartfelt way. It was a real pleasure to be part of it.

Incredible food with flare. I rarely eat a place that has as much zing and zap as this one.

Unpretentious quick serve Turkish place.
We went for lunch – food was simple but quite good. Service was okay – our server didn’t really check on us once she delivered the food. Ambience needs some upkeep.
