Don’t judge a book by its… In this case “restaurant” Another local establishment found while driving off the beaten path. Reasonable price, freshly made authentic Jamaican meal. I had the lunch special jerk chicken & rice and was surprised it came with a drink either soda or water. . Vegan delight is the homemade spinach Patties or chicken or beef with coco bread, your choice. Freshly made on premise carrot juice and punch that most Caribbean are a custom to eat. FYI: phones ringing like crazy, people complaining lines and wait times… I am here to tell you… The food was 100% and that was worth the wait.

Great variety of food to choose from. My favorite is the oxtail. It has such awesome flavor and seems like it was marinating and cooking for days. The meat just falls off the bone and then the gravy has to be put on the rice and peas for a perfect bite. Everything is cooked with love and it shows. Best place in Ocean And Monmouth county for authentic Jamaican food.

Order the Large Jerk Chicken ask for more cabbage then rice which they honored , jerk Chicken very tasty but I got 3Bones I ordered a large BBQ jerk chicken and for $17 I would like to have at least a whiole thigh and Drumn stick..Not 3 bones it was like 1 piece of chicken…I’ll think real hard before returning for 3 Bones that didn’t even make 1 piece of chicken..

I love this place, the food always amaze me! You have to try their Oxtails and Jerk pork are the best! They have some specials on weekdays, stew peas for every Wed and Fried chicken every Friday. Better call to order 1st, they run out pretty fast!

The food has flavor but they need to wear proper hair nets. I ordered a curried goat and a stewed beef meal and the curried goat had human hairs piled up under the meat. At first, I thought it was just one strand n I pulled it out and was still eating but when I moved a section of the meat I saw more hairs and I had to throw out my meal. First and last experience for me.

Ordered the oxtails and a side of the jerk chicken. Oxtails were good. But, the jerk chicken was the best I’ve ever had. Spicy and smoked to perfection. Rice and peas were excellent. Going back for the jerk chicken.
