Tried out Island Tingz and it really gave that authentic island comfort vibe. The spot itself is simple and colorful, with a laid-back feel that makes you want to just relax and enjoy.
I ordered the jerk chicken with rice & peas and mac and cheese, and it did not disappoint. The chicken had that smoky, seasoned flavor you expect from real jerk—tender and full of spice. The rice & peas balanced it out nicely, and the mac was creamy and cheesy, the perfect side to cool things down. Portions were generous, and everything had that homemade touch that makes you feel like you’re eating straight from someone’s kitchen.
If you’re craving Caribbean flavor in Houston, this is definitely a hidden gem worth checking out. I’ll be back to try more of the menu for sure.

HARD NO!!!!! SOMEBODY OUT HERE LYING!!!
This wasn’t giving authentic Jamaican jerk chicken at all. Im highly disappointed! I did jerk wings, rice and peas, plantain and beef patty. The wings flavor just wasn’t it. It was missing the sweet and spicy that we look for. Plantains weren’t sweet, they were rubbery. I’ll include a pic of them solely if i can. The rice & peas were only alright. Now the Jamaican beef patty was tasty but that’s about it! I understand why it was empty in there. So here’s to trial and error but you wouldn’t know unless you try it at least once. I won’t be going back!

Wanted Caribbean food and found this place on Google. It had good reviews so we went to try it. The food was good. They are a little skimpy on the protein portion sizes. I asked for the large jerk chicken and it wasn’t that much chicken in the box. It was good though. The rice and peas were also good. That cabbage slaw was well seasoned. I like the patty too.

Came here while charging up from Houston airport, and what a hidden gem!
Got the jerk chicken for lunch $9.99 + white rice & plantains as my two sides. Delicious, local, and high protein! They also have cakes, pastas and even roti!
Takeout was fast, food was tasty, smells from down the street. Check out more reviews on IG @fitwyasmin

Wanted to try something different and stopped by this place that was on my way home but on the other side of town. At first I could tell to take a seat or go to a counter and order. Being that I had my elderly mother we took a seat. This gentleman was going back and forth talking on the phone and took a break after a bit and told me we have to order at the counter. I got up and the have a menu taped to the glass counter. It was a small menu and after a few questions answered our food was ordered. They both looked and tasted good when we got them. I will say that this place needs to tweek a few things before it warrants the prices it’s set on the menu items. The regular drink options needs to have fountain drink available and not just can or bottled drinks. The interior needs a touch up like replacing the stained ceiling tiles or adding some Jamaican art. The outside seating area needs an outside seating area for the night time when temps have gone down. I see potential here as we were all alone dining in but saw a steady flow of people picking up to go orders. Good luck!

Rice and beans, and coco bread were amazing but the beef pattie and mac&cheese, and oxtail were to die for the fried chicken wasn’t as fresh and a bit dry to our liking ao we’ll have to try it again because we’ll be back!! ✨️ rum punch was also amazing
*we didnt take pictures unfortunately but found 1! Haha

Loved EVERYTHING!! I never finish my food anywhere and today I left NOTHING on the plate. We will definitely be back. The owners are So kind and checked on us during our meal. I would recommend the jerk chicken, rice and peas, mac n cheese and cabbage. The photo is a the small plate and it was plenty.

1st off. For the price with delivery was about 40bucks. This was my fear. The food has good flavor but they was stingy on them oxtails wasnt enough meat, I wish they were thick but very tender, 4 plantains & a handful of Mac & cheese. Not worth the price for delivery so just go get it. but overall the gravy for the oxtails was fire I put my beef patty in it, the beef patty was a nice size

Ordered jerk chicken it had decent flavor, issue was the chicken tasted more like BBQ chicken than jerk. The rice and peas were delicious, but the mac and cheese was lacking flavor. This restaurant has great potential, the price was very reasonable to go along with the portion size. If your in the area give this spot a try.

I got 3 plates, 2 patties, and a Jamaican soda and everything was off the charts. I ordered inside and by the time I sat down, my food was ready 5 minutes later. Definitely worth the trip.
