I’ve been homesick for a home cooked meal from PR for a couple years now and this was the perfect choice. I called ahead and ordered on the phone, they gave me an estimate time for me to pickup and they were punctual. The food was exquisite!! I felt like I was eating at home. I ordered a pastelillo de carne, arroz con gandules, pernil y amarillos, y coquito. They serve A LOT for one person so I now have dinner for another night. The service was very kind and warm like family. I will definitely buy here again when I’m in the area!

Island Tings is truly something special. From start to finish, the experience was incredible. I had my food delivered and it arrived right on time, perfectly packaged, and full of care. The owner is extremely kind and professional, with excellent communication that makes you feel genuinely appreciated as a customer.
The prices are good, especially for the quality you’re getting. The food is authentic Puerto Rican cuisine, full of rich, traditional flavors that are true to the island. Every bite tasted like it was made back home in Puerto Rico,it honestly took me right back. You can tell this is food made with love, pride, and respect for the culture.
This meal was especially meaningful during the holidays; it felt like bringing a piece of my country to my table. The flavors were spot on, comforting, and unforgettable,exactly how Puerto Rican food should taste.

Puerto Rican food in Portland area??? Awesome!! I have been missing this kind of food since leaving the east coast. The food was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Their sampler plate was full of the good stuff (empanadas, pastele, roast pork and rice and beans!!) and the drinks were great! Highly recommend if you’re missing puertorican food or looking to try something new.
