Overall great foood!! However the bartender not so much!!! Went yesterday for dinner and got seated at the turnstiles.. however waitress was slammed so went up to bar to grab drink. Bar prob had 8 people.. ignored us.. came back 10 mins later with a bucket of ice… then asked her if we could get a drink- she said one sec… and started unpacking the dishwasher lmao… eventually came over- we ordered and said thank you- she didnt respond..so not great

I’ve never been to a place like this before! There is literally a conveyor belt of different sushi related food items circulating around the tables at the “sushi bar” that you can grab if you want. Also that all you can eat sushi is a heck of a deal!!
Every time I come here it has been clean and the service has been awesome. The food is great and I can’t wait to bring other people here!

I came here the other night when they had the valentine’s day menu for the week, I was disappointed and angry at the experience to say the least. Definitely not worth the money or time, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone!!
As always they make you wait at the bar for a while when there is plenty of open seating. I understand pacing in a restaurant as well but there seems to be consistent negative reviews in their seating process.
Upon seating the only thing that was on conveyer belt were these very tiny cheaper “chinese buffet” style desserts, and any very few rolls they did have were just cucumber in rice, but it was almost all those miniature deserts. Sometimes they did have 1 or 2 orange slices per dish going around and four small pieces of pineapple? That was so wild lol
I didn’t want to be disrespectful so I asked how I order the custom rolls and they explained the sushi chefs will make what they want and also come around and ask. I was so confused because there really wasn’t any sushi going around. This is a large seating area with only two employees actively making rolls between them, you can only order one roll until they go around the entire room. (unlike other AYCE sushi places where you can order a bunch right away)
In 30 minutes I only ate two pieces of small sushi from conveyer, and then had to wait to order the actual rolls. I was so angry. I did notice other customers look confused as well by the lack of sushi on the actual belt as I heard the couple next to me.
The employee did come around and refill drinks great, but everything else was a disaster.
I sat there so angry, trying to find a way to make the experience better by taking the one stuffed mushroom or whatever small bland generic 2 piece sushi rolls that ended up coming out. (which was few and far between)
I don’t ever like to leave bad reviews but this was absolutely unacceptable for the price. It’s honestly cheaper and better to go get sushi at the grocery store or at Sushi Lover downtown.
If you want to get all you can eat that’s properly staffed, ran efficient, quality, and better priced PLEASE go to Sushi Lover downtown instead! You will have a way better experience!!

I don’t even know where to start with how spectacular island sushi is as a whole. I must say that although you can either dine at a table or the sushi conveyor bar, the first and only correct step is to get the all you can eat sushi option as it will not disappoint. With this option, you can order as many full sized sushi rolls as you want, plus sample a number of smaller plates that circle around the island that range from basic to adventurous. The quality of the fish and the rolls is nearly unmatched by any other sushi restaurant I’ve been to (and I’ve been to a lot), and the chefs are quick and very skilled at making excellent rolls, in addition to being amiable. My personal favorite rolls were the black dragon (especially if you like eel) and the big Kahuna (a must try no matter who you are). The entire experience is one of the most memorable and it was truly one of the best birthday dinners I’ve ever had.

Island Sushi never disappoints! The people are great (shout-out to John G. at the bar and manager Jonathan for excellent customer service), the drinks are stellar (my favorite is the Japanese old fashioned), and the sushi is amazing! I usually opt-out of the all you can eat boat experience, but it’s fun to try if you want a nice variety. The Deep Fried Philly roll is my absolute favorite.

1st timer – excellent. 1st a greeter welcomed us. Bar was great – very reasonable prices. Very cozy & friendly bartender.
We were seated at the conveyor belt area. Amazing – the food that was on the rotating food bar was very appealing & just the right amount. Of course it’s all you cam eat at one price which works great for people whom love to sample things. The main meal you oder & you may get a hole or half order so I did half. Plenty to eat & again after they serve you they go on to next in line around the bar to come back to you to put in another different order. The waiter checked on is alot & I felt they really care about they’re customers as they were so friendly & served us fast. My son & his family come here alot & now I know why. The food was FRESH – TASTED & SMELLED like it should. Enjoyed the preparation of food in front of us. Amazing how the employees interacted nice to each other & customers.
You will not be disappointed in this. A great experience for me & now I know what I prefer to eat with sushi.
Will surely go back if in the area again.

When we had a brief wait we sat at the bar and our bartender Seth was a star- knowledgeable, acknowledging, fun and talkative- all the qualities of a good bartender/ server and even was up for letting me invent a drink based off of what he had- a true star and attribute to your team!!
Our experience with dining was as always very enjoyable. The server who sat us, Nick, was prompt and polite and on the ball for all of our needs
The sushi was fantastic of course- they had these amazing crab crostini’s that were on the conveyer belt that I was obsessed with!
