My husband and I love eating here, the food is delicious, well-made, and goes down well. Everyone is always nice and the wait is responsible. I just love everything about this place, I’ve eaten here at least a dozen times.

Cool little spot. Jerk chicken sauce was ok, but not the spicy I was expecting. Greens were good, but I did not like the cabbage. No seasoning. Young lady that took my order seemed annoyed when I said “excuse me miss”. Never responded. Just looked up from her pad and stared at me as if to say what do I want. I might try again. See if I enjoy the curry.

I stopped in for lunch and chose oxtail with coco bread. The oxtail was incredibly tender, with the meat falling right off the bone, but the gravy left much to be desired. It was lacking in flavor and richness. However, the rice and candied yams were excellent. The coco bread was light and delicious. The price was on the higher side; for nearly $30, I expected the gravy to be outstanding. The service was prompt and welcoming, and the restaurant maintained a clean environment.

My coworker told me he wanted to try this place so he sent me the menu. I haven’t had chicken roti since I lived in Brooklyn 5 years ago, so my mouth was ready for it. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. The chicken was very tender but it & the gravy was so overly salted I couldn’t even get through it. And the roti was thick. I’m used to roti being light, chewy and flaky kinda like a Grands biscuit… but this was more like pita bread. I knew I should have asked an actual NYC Jamaican where to get good, authentic Jamaican food!

I was so excited about eating Jamaican food. The people I was with said that the sauce was too sweet. For me, I love salmon to no end and this food was extremely salty. I wish the best for this restaurant. There aren’t many Jamaican restaurants, so I hope they are successful.

I’ve been on the hunt for some good Jamaican food, and boy, did I find one. Although I had to travel 34 mins to find this amazing place, it was sure worth the 1 hr round trip. I got the large oxtail with peas and rice and steamed cabbage. I also got the Jamaican beef patty, which didn’t make the car ride home. The oxtails were cooked to perfection, not tuff, and barley had to do any extra work to get the meat off the bone. The rice and peas were really good and not undercooked or overcooked. The added brown sauce from the oxtail on the rice took it to a whole other level. I will definitely come back to try more items on the menu!!!!
12/28 back with an update, just had the oxtail rasta pasta and omg. Everything was delicious and made to order. I will be going back to try everything on the menu. I was told that everything taste amazing and so far they were correct.

First time trying this spot out I usually go to Golden Krust. Should have followed my first mind. Walked in spoke to cashier she was dry speaking cool. So when I asked about the Mac n cheese don’t know if she was offensive when I asked about the dish. I ordered a veggie plate. The food wasn’t hot it was like warm. Cabbage was ok bland the yams was ok. What I didn’t like was I was charged for using my card which is ridiculous. The company (CC) charges (Island Spice) then the business charges the customer. As a small business owner I’ve never charged my customer my service fee. I won’t be returning atmosphere was off and not welcoming at all
