Located in a shopping center atmosphere this Jamaican inspired restaurant was a delight. I ordered takeout the person on the phone was very informative of the specials available. The food was delish!! I had the Salmon platter w/ rice and peas cabbage and plantain and, stewed chicken with same sides all well done. So if in the area try them out.

Intimate Jamaican spot new to the Reisterstown area. Been here a few times and experiences has been good. Despite the stereotypes of Jamaican spots being rude it’s the opposite. Staff here are friendly.
I’ve tried their chicken patty with cocobread which both are flaky and soft. The patty has enough spice and filling with every bite. The stew chicken dinner which is enough to feed two people. Plenty fall off the bone chicken (tendernism), grainy rice and peas with that coconut milk flavor, crunchy cabbage, and sweet plaintains to cut through the spice. I also had their oxtail mac and cheese which was tasty. Tender juicy oxtail mixed with cheesy macaroni is a can’t miss. Although it is a very oily dish.
The ambiance of reggae tunes while waiting for your order helps distract from hunger pains produced by smells coming from the kitchen. You can find yourself easily spending over $20. Yet the food portions are fair and delicious.
The food will make you either lick ah shot, lick your finger, or lick the plate.

I requested a catfish sandwich. They assured me it would be ready in 15 minutes. I paid for the sandwich, but it took them 40 minutes to bring it to my table. It tasted great, but only one star because they lied to me about how long it would take to prepare my meal.
Island Quizine Restaurant & Catering in Reisterstown is primarily a takeout place although it has seating for 8 people. It’s clean and neat. There are plenty of non-alcoholic drink options.
The food is prepared to order so if you’re in a hurry, order on line prior to your arrival. I didn’t order in advance, and it took them 45 minutes to give me my order. That’s unacceptable.
I had the catfish sandwich. It was excellent.
The fries that came with the sandwich were also delicious.

My visit to Island Quizine was made even better thanks to Deandre, who was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about the menu. I decided to try the jerk beef patty for the first time, paired with soft, warm coco bread – and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and well-seasoned, with just the right kick of spice. I topped it off with a refreshing Tropical Rhythms Mango Carrot drink, which was the perfect complement. Great food, great service – I’ll definitely be back!

The gentleman who took my order was super nice and efficient—he made sure everything was correct, informed me of the daily special and how long their lunch special runs for everyday.
When I arrived to pick up my food, he recognized me right away and was just as welcoming, which made the whole process smooth and pleasant.
Now, the food—**WOW!** i got the jerk chicken lunch special was piping hot, perfectly seasoned, and so flavorful! The spices had just the right kick, and the meat was juicy and tender. Every bite was delicious, and it comes with your choice of lemonade or raspberry sweet tea. I went with the sweet tea and it was amazing!
I am in the Owings Mills area a lot for lunch and this is going to be one of my frequent spots for lunch. Super nice job.

Today was my first visit and I will definitely be back [went for lunch and dinner]. I missed the lunch special pricing by 2 minutes. No exceptions on that, so don’t miss the time window. LUNCH SPECIALS ARE WEEKDAYS ONLY.
I tried the brown stew and the curry chicken. The meals are a good portion for the pricing. They have custom drinks and the ability to mix [I tried mango, pineapple and ginger] which was very good.
Seasoning on the meats was perfect. The red beans and rice are lightly seasoned, the cabbage was not seasoned at all. I imagine this is a franchise choice to serve a more broader clientele. [Ask for sauce on the side ;)]
The menu pricing was a little confusing due to the layout.
The atmosphere is very clean and not noisy with music/tv. There is seating for maybe 12-15 people to sit down to eat.
The service was great, the chef and cashiers were pleasant and kind. The wait time after ordering was 5-7 minutes and this was during a busy time.
Packaging: All items are in containers that are sealed very well and retain the heat for your food. With a large meal, you can get 2-4 servings out if it.
Overall, I enjoyed my experience and I look forward to introducing my clients and friends to a local spot.

Idk what changed since theyve opened. Venue is nice, staff is cool. However, the food is horrid, and the cost is way off. Whoever owns this chain should have this staff cross train other locations and step thier food game up. Tashes Ankh is more costly and has better quality of food. Please help this location spread good customer services vibes and help them out to achieve a better food quality.

I just left island quizine in the best mood ever. Renata took my order and was so friendly and funny that I didn’t want to leave. My friend and I were able to talk to the chef to get gluten free options which they have and the food came out super quick. I can’t wait to come back to try the red snapper and chat it up some more with Renata. Oh and the food is ALWAYS EXCELLENT HERE!
