While we waited on our entrees, we tried the Jerk Chicken Egg Rolls. They’re served with a sauce that tastes sweet and complimented the egg rolls. I ordered the Stew Chicken and was able to try the oxtails, Passionfruit and Coconut drink. Both entrees and drinks were DE-LI-CIOUS!!! There are vegan options.
The entire place is clean. There’s music playing which isn’t too loud. The restroom for women has one toilet with quality soap, paper towels and decor. As of today this establishment doesn’t have a liquor license but it’s on the way. I look forward to returning for more food with a glass of wine on the side ; )
I ordered the oxtail with rice and peas, cabbage, and buss up shut roti skin. The oxtail was very tender, flavorful, and literally melted in my mouth. The rice and peas were seasoned to perfection. The cabbage wasn’t my favorite—it was a bit lacking in flavor—but everything else absolutely made up for it. I originally wanted the dhal puri, but since it wasn’t available, I settled for the buss up shut roti, which still complemented the meal well.
Overall, I’m extremely happy with my food and the experience. I’m looking forward to the restaurant’s grand opening so I can continue to come out and show my support.
You definitely have a loyal customer in me!
I started with the jerk chicken eggrolls, passion fruit refresher and whew crispy, flavorful, and seasoned all the way through. The kind of appetizer where you take one bite and immediately stop talking because you’re focused .
Then came the variety plate, and it did not disappoint. The oxtails were tender and rich, the jerk chicken had real heat and flavor (not just spice for the sake of spice), the mac & cheese was creamy, and the rice & peas pulled everything together perfectly. It felt like a full, proper meal — comforting, filling, and made with care.
Nothing about the food felt rushed or thrown together. It tasted like someone took their time and actually loves what they’re cooking.
Mi love di food bad bad
Definitely a spot I’ll be back to.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated, very clean, and has a really nice vibe. The prices are reasonable, which is always a plus, and they have vegan options too. I ordered the vegetable roti with chickpeas and it was delicious, full of flavor and very satisfying.
We ordered our food to go this time, but we’re already planning to come back and sit down for dinner with family and friends. Definitely a place worth checking out!
I genuinely want to support this business, but consistency and efficiency are important. I hope the owners take customer feedback seriously and address these issues, because the restaurant has great potential. With better service, it could truly thrive.
