You won’t find a better Jamaican restaurant in the area. We got the Ox Tails, brown stew chicken, and jerk chicken. 10/10 recommend. You won’t be disappointed.

Ordered dinner Friday on call in but was held up at store and traffic when I arrived they said no my dinner would have sat too long so they made me wait and made it fresh!!! I had an Ice cold Red Stripe and enjoyed the Vibe! Jamaican decor and Vibe was enjoyable!!Curry goat and Ox -tail dinner is my favorite with gravy on the rice and peas! Kiss the cook❤️❤️!! I added on a side of stewed chicken and loved it!!Don’t sleep on that jerk chicken it’s very flavorful!!! ❤️❤️ A must have restaurant whenever I’m in town!!

Well the food was hot and flavorful tasted great. The chicken was very tender falling off the bone.The large portions were more then enough.Not to long of a wait.The place is kinda dark so I needed a eye adjustment from coming from the bright sunlight outside!The food speaks for itself. Got curry goat from them. It’s surprisingly lean! No grease at all and rice is perfectly cooked. Island Jam and Uppa Yard are the best Jamaican food so far for me
Only thing that needs to be improve is they barely pick up their phone, i understand they always busy but pick up the phone for pick up order would make sense because people don’t like to wait in the line at the bar for a long time.

Look, people forget how hard it is to satisfy folks on all avenues. You don’t come here for the service, you order at the bar, and have to bring your own food to the table. But who cares when this is so good, how many times have you gone to an establishment and you get “great service” but the food is “mid” or just “decent”. You want good food, come here. You want a plate that you can enjoy for the whole day and have some left overs? Come here. Thank you Island Jam, don’t listen to these people, we come here for the FOOD not for service or anything else.

You’ll be entertained by local Jamaican artist videos on tv. The restaurant is dark and decorated in Black, Yellow and Green with wooden hand carved tables and booths.
So they may not be the best in class for customer service, but you’ll get generous portions of food in a cuisine you wouldn’t likely cook often at home.
The physical building has not been updated in years but you’ll get what you came for and you won’t be hungry.

The food is amazing and the atmosphere and vibes are too. It feels like family there. The flavors are bold, spicy, smoky and on point!!!
