The food is excellent, and the employees are very friendly. The huli huli chicken is great, and the rice and mac and cheese are also really good. However, the last two times I ordered, the pickup time wasn’t accurate, and I had to wait longer than expected. It would be helpful if the orders were ready at the estimated time.

Island Fusion is such a gem in Ellensburg! The Huli Huli chicken is hands down one of the best dishes I’ve had. It was perfectly tender, juicy, and packed with so much sweet and savory flavor in every bite. You can really taste the care that goes into the food. The mac and cheese was my kids absolute favorite. It’s creamy, comforting, and full of flavor not just your basic side dish. It made the meal a hit for the whole family.
What really stood out was how affordable everything is especially considering the generous portion sizes. You definitely get your money’s worth here and no one leaves hungry.
The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. The restaurant itself is very clean and has a relaxed, laid-back vibe that makes it a great spot for families or a casual meal.
We had such a positive experience and will definitely be coming back again soon. Highly recommend!

One of my favorite spots in Eburg!!! Everything is delicious & fresh. They’ve really perfected every detail of flavor in every dish I’ve tried. From the main dish to the sides they come with.
Super fast takeout.. I usually get the Huli huli chicken. The Hawaiian mac is always fresh & on point. Sometimes i crave it so much i get an extra side of it.
I also get the jerk chicken a lot (which has a longer cook time, but totally worth the wait). It comes with plantains & a mini side salad that has an amazing mixture of flavors that i can’t get enough of.

I dined here a year ago, and my experience wasn’t great. The service was slow, and the food didn’t taste right, so I decided not to return. However, I recently went back with a colleague to give it another try because I really enjoy this type of cuisine. To my surprise, it felt like a different place! The service was wonderful, the food was outstanding and accommodating, and the wait was not lengthy at all. It sounds like the owner has heard from its customers and improved their restaurant service… The fact that they listen to their critics shows that they care about their customers. I returned today, and, as with my most recent visit, it was excellent!!! Thank you, Island Fusion.

Absolutely amazing experience! I and my husband were on a road trip. We were hungry, and it was late. This was probably the only place that was open nearby, so we decided to give it a try. Even though we came in when they almost close the dining area, the server was generous enough to let us stay in the dining area to enjoy our meal. The food is surprisingly good. Fried rice and short ribs are very delicious and fresh. The plantain is delightful. Highly recommend! We will come back next time on our next trip to try their ox tail and jerk chicken ;).

When you walk in, it’s clear this isn’t your typical sit-down restaurant you order at the counter, grab a seat, and they bring the food out to you. Pretty standard for a college-town spot. My order took about 40 minutes for huli chicken, short ribs, and beef teriyaki.
The food was clearly fresh, though by the time I got home only two blocks away, the meat had cooled off a bit. Still, the chicken was tender, flavorful, and had a nice amount of char that gave it great depth. The beef and short ribs were also delicious and cooked perfectly. The mac salad had overcooked noodles, but that’s fairly common and didn’t ruin the meal.
They could definitely work on streamlining their cooking process to cut down on wait times, but the flavors and portion sizes make up for it. Overall, it was good food and one of the rare times I can honestly say the wait was worth it. I’ll definitely be ordering again.

I wanted to update my review to increase the stars. After my initial review, the owner reached out immediately to resolve the issue. For that reason we will return when we’re back in the area.
We came down for a weekend in the snow and decided to order from here for pickup. This was the worst oxtails I’ve ever had from a restaurant. They were tough, and dry. We ordered rice and peas but received plain rice to accompany the tough and dry oxtails. The plantains were burnt. The jerk chicken was mid to say the least. It lacked flavor and traditional jerk spices. We ordered multiple plates and it was consistently disappointing for the entire group of us who ordered from here. Shame on you for serving this and wasting our time and money.
