Their colossal pizza is no joke! Needed to feed half a dozen hungry teens in a pinch, tried Island Eatz on a whim and the whole house is raving about how awesome the pizza is! The crust is so soft yet crisp underside, flavorful sauce, tons of cheese, toppings cooked just right! Staff are moving fast and super friendly. Even the other customers are friendly, likely because they know they’re about to have a great meal! Normally you get a huge pizza like this and the quality is iffy but this is literally perfect execution. We love love love, will be back for sure!!

My family of three recently had dinner at Island Eatz, and it turned out to be one of the most pleasant dining surprises we’ve had in the Albany area. I had heard they served some of the best pizza around, so we decided to check it out. Parking was easy—there were spots both on the adjacent street and a couple of spots directly in front of the restaurant.
As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted by a friendly lady at the counter and by Mohamed, one of the owners, who welcomed us with a smile and pointed us to the menus on the table. We initially expected a typical pizza place, but once we opened the menu, we were amazed by the variety. Island Eatz offers far more than pizza—appetizers, salads, burgers, regular and gourmet pizzas, Italian dinners, rice platters, wings in several flavors, wraps, gyros, hot and cold subs, calzones, rolls, stromboli, desserts, beverages, and a great list of specials. It truly has something for everyone.
Mohamed recommended the Lamb Over Rice, Chicken Wings, and the Meat Lovers Famous Gourmet Pizza (my wife and son love a pizza with meats). But my son had his eye on the Grilled Chicken Philly Sub, while my wife wanted to try the Lamb Over Rice and a Stromboli. We ended up ordering the Grilled Chicken Sub, Lamb Over Rice, Stromboli, and a 10-piece order of wings (half Mango and half Buffalo).
Mohamed told us the food would take about 20 minutes, and it was well worth the wait. When the dishes arrived, we were genuinely impressed, not only did everything look delicious, but the portions were generous. The Stromboli was enormous (see the picture with the dinner knife next to it). Everything tasted even better than it looked. Soon after we started eating my wife said, “We should take pictures!” (so the wing photo has only three of each flavor left because we couldn’t resist digging in first).
While we were dining, we noticed a steady flow of customers picking up takeout orders; yet, Mohamed said this evening was a slow evening. The dining area has two tables that seat four each, making it a cozy and comfortable spot for small groups to eat in.
In conclusion, we thoroughly enjoyed every dish and even brought home leftovers, thanks to the generous portions. I highly, wholeheartedly recommend Island Eatz to guests of all ages and groups of any size. If you’re in the Albany area, this place is absolutely worth a visit.

I recently had dinner at Island Eatz, and it was such an awesome experience! I ordered a cheese pizza, mozzarella sticks and everything tasted amazing—full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Every bite was so good! The service was just as great as the food. The woman named sam working at the front counter was super friendly, patient, and helpful with all my questions. Honestly, if I could give this place more than 5 stars, I totally would! Island Eatz is definitely a hidden treasure, and I’ll be recommending it to all my friends.
