First time visiting this authentic Jamaican restaurant and it won’t be the last! Delicious seasoning and flavors! We went as a group of 6 and didn’t wait long on all our meals. We ordered Jerk chicken, Red snapper, Fried dumplings (like fried donuts a little sweet), wing dings with a home made sauce- Everything sauce- ask for it! , Oxtail, and Brown stew chicken (brown gravy). Dinners come with 2 choices of sides- red beans and rice, steamed cabbage, white rice or plantain. Pretty extensive bar selections Jamaican sodas and Coke products to drink. Plentiful seating and the staff and owner are amazingly friendly. Be sure to check out this authentic restaurant!

I was on a business trip to Winchester, VA, and was recommended to Island Delight. I ordered oxtail, curry goat and dumplings. The oxtail’s meat was so tender and tasty, was wonderful! The curry goat was amazing! Both are spicy, but not too spicy, just right! Dumplings were soft inside and crispy on the outside, and it has a likkle bit of sweetness, and it’s not dry at all! I was not even that hungry, but I ate all of the dumplings, didn’t even save one for tomorrow. Super delicious!

They are extremely nice ! I had brown stew chicken plantains and cabage words cant describe how juicy and tender and full of flavor omggggg wow !!!! Down to her cabage !!! She made me two blue Hawaiian drinks omg i felt like i was in jamaica on vaction for a second there!!! DELICIOUS !!!! Really nice people and excellent quality of food !!!!

We were looking for some good food and found this AMAZING Caribbean food place!! We got the Large Jerk chicken and large brown stew chicken entrees and both were so delicious!! Size Large is HUGE!! We couldn’t finish our food in one seating and had to finish it the next day for lunch We will definitely order again and I am already planning on trying the curry goat and curry beef next time!!!

Drove 40 mins because a friend mentioned there was a Caribbean food spot in Winchester. A friend of mine rode with me, he loves Oxtail. We arrived but they were out of Oxtail so we went with the larg curry goat with rice and peas with cabbage.
The serving size was humongous. I ate half and ate the other have later that evening. The cabbage had a sweet savory taste and the oxtail was tender and they drizzled a nice amount of curry juice that mixed well with the rice.

Great service , fresh delish food. I haven’t been able to find real Jamaican food but this was finger licking good. We ordered curry chicken and jerk chicken. The jerk chicken still had the taste from the grill omg I over ate ! 10+ star if I could ! Portions are huge !

Stopped for a dinner tonight and everything was delicious. We got BBQ chicken, curry chicken, brown stew chicken, plantains, rice with beans, cabbage, and cocoa bread and our whole family including kids loved it. Great, friendly service too. We will definitely be back!

I rarely write reviews, but this restaurant left me no choice. Hands down, it is the absolute BEST food I’ve had thus far in Winchester and the best Caribbean food I have yet to find! Nothing could have made this dish any more perfect. Everything was seasoned and smoked to perfection! The jerk chicken was so tender and moist! I rarely eat dark meat, but I ate every piece! Don’t even get me started on the cabbage! Eating it so much as a child, I lost a taste for it as an adult, but Island Delights changed my opinion! It was cooked just right! Buttery, flavorful, and delicious! The beef patty was incredible!! This place brings an entirely new meaning to soul food! You can taste generations of souls being poured into this hidden gem! Every bite brought me back to my childhood and tasted like home cooking. I didn’t get to try the Island drink, but I look forward to it on my next visit! Thank you for this delectable experience!
