This is “must visit” spot for our annual trips to Topsail. Service is always great and prices are very reasonable. My personal favorite is the cheeseburger, delight style. Perfect place to grab lunch or ice cream. It gets busy!

Island Delights is a staple stop for ice cream & burgers during our visits to N Topsail Beach. It is decorated as a vintage soda shop/diner style spot. The food here is consistent in quality, has a working jukebox, and filled with families on vacation. The dine in seating is limited to around 6-8 families and seating is tight during mealtime rush hour.

My friend comes Surf City, Topsail Island North Carolina yearly with his family. He shared this spot as a great place to stop and eat. There were 7 adults in our group. The service was super friendly, Wonderful experience and atmosphere. I’m sure this place gets packed during the summer, we visited here the 1st week of May so we had a more laid back and not so congested time.
Absolutely would recommend stopping here if you’re staying on the island or just passing through.

Great no frills food spot for burgers, dogs, sandwiches, and ice cream. We’ll save the sweets for our next visit, but the burger and sandwich were perfectly acceptable. Nothing fancy and the prices were great to match. Fries and onion rings were fresh and very tasty as well.

A 1950s diner that is perfect for any year or generation! Dinner was affordable, staff friendly, patient and pure Carolina class and courtesy.
Dessert has earned its reputation here as tops in Topsail, and one of the best on the East Coast!!

My family ate here yesterday and let me say this place is a hidden gem for anyone craving great burgers and ice cream. The burger was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right, with fresh toppings and a soft, toasted bun. And don’t even get me started on the ice cream — super creamy with a great variety of flavors. You can tell they really care about quality here. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the service was fast. It’s the kind of spot you’ll want to come back to again and again. We did have a large group but they handled us well AND showed us the extra parking in the back!! Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, finding the sort of cheap burger meal that diners have been known for is getting harder and harder. Their cheeseburger has increased by $.75 in just the last eight months but only increased by a $1.75 in the last four years. The tough economy has been hitting everything hard and that’s a shame.
Pictured is the single cheeseburger “Delight Style” with a side of French fries. This option is great if you like all the classic toppings plus a special house sauce. Service was quick and friendly! They did an excellent job handling the many ice cream orders while also serving dine-in customers.

Hershey’s ice cream is delicious! Lots of flavors to try and. They have soft serve as well. Cute place. Nice outdoor seating as well. Family friendly. Clean restrooms.

Cute beach dîner with fun, vintage, eclectic decor. Ice cream to top of your lunch or dinner of burgers, hot dogs, fries, onion rings, etc. Got a chocolate malt. Yummy. Not often found these days (malt). Clean bathrooms and friendly, efficient service! Definitely revisiting next time we go to the beach!
