I ordered Vegan Curry Goat served over rice and beans with collards, and plantains and a Just Peachy, the food is delicious and very flavorful and everyone was friendly! I’ll definitely be back to try other vegetarian options!

I’ve been to Island Delight twice, both times during lunch to dine in. It seems that dining in is quicker than waiting in the pickup line, which can get pretty backed up.
The “Just Peachy” smoothie is absolutely delicious. I’ve also tried their canned juices—and they’re so good I had to grab extras to take home!!
Both times, I ordered the oxtails with rice, cabbage, and island slaw (slaw not pictured). The slaw is sweet and, I think, has apples in it. The cabbage is pretty standard—nothing to fancy. The oxtails are incredibly flavorful and tender.
My only complaint is the portion size. The oxtail plate comes with a smaller serving of meat compared to other dishes. For example, my Dad got the curry chicken and received a larger portion. Next time, I plan to try the curry goat. While I really enjoy the oxtails, they feel a bit too pricey for the amount of meat you get.
The servers were wonderful being very friendly and attentive. I will say the two ladies working the checkout stations seemed less welcoming, but it didn’t ruin the experience since I dined in.
Overall, I’d definitely go back, but I’ll explore other meat options next time. The flavor is there, no question.

Food was decent, it took forever to place an order. I believe I was in line for 20 minutes. Once order was placed it took about 5-8 minutes for the food. Oxtails could have been a bit more tender, but had good flavor and slight kick. Cabbage was bit too salty for me but still edible. I was bummed that they were out of festival bread. Overall I would return as clearly it’s a local favorite given how there was always a line as well as the phone ringing.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for so long! The hours are unfortunate with my schedule. I was able to try it, finally! The service was great. I think the chicken was a little dry. Good seasoning in the cabbage and Mac and cheese. But it wasn’t hot just warm. I’d love to give them another try during a better time frame. It was towards closing time. I didn’t feel rushed during my order. I was greeted nicely so I appreciated that. The food just wasn’t what I hoped it to be. I can’t give my best review for the food unfortunately.

Best Jamaican food I’ve had in a long time! Nice comfortable dining area. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Service was prompt even though we were dining during the busy lunch hour. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in town!

Visited on a trip to Montgomery. The food was phenomenal, tried beef ox tails for the first time and it won’t be the last. Placed an order over the phone ahead of time, was told 20 minutes. I got there 25 minutes later and had to wait 10-15 more minutes which kinda sucked as I ordered ahead to avoid this. Other than the wait I don’t have any other complaints.

The worst Jamaican food I ever had. I ordered there because it’s Jamaican food. But boy, do I regret that! I ordered the food through Uber Eats and it came up to $21. Terrible portion of food. The amount of rice they had in that plate was pathetic. That portion wouldn’t fill a kid’s belly let alone a grown man. Plus it tasted terrible. I was hungry enough to force feed myself. I mean come on guys! That was not Jamaican food that I know. Please put food on the plate.

Visited while on a road trip to New Orleans. Wonderfully surprised by the quality of the food here. Cool digs inside with a great island vibe. Friendly servers. Would have rated a 5 star if the service was just a bit quicker and if they had one of the dishes we ordered. It took 15 min for the server to tell us they were out of the peppered beef.

Food was genuinely the worst Jamaican food ever! I’m a truck driver and I wanted some Jamaican food this spot I normally go to when I’m in town was closed so I found this one on google also and decided to try it. I live in Florida and this is by far the worst Jamaican food I’ve ever tasted. I’m Jamaican and this is not authentic at all and lacks flavor. This is No where near Jamaican food very disappointed
