Amazing food with the most unique atmosphere in Portland, OR! Outdoor eating on the water with a fantastic happy hour menu as well as a phenomenal dinner menu. The Columbia Burger was one of the best burgers I have had in Portland and it came with French onion soup for dipping! If you’re in the area for Memorial Day to Labor Day, you really should check out this fabulous restaurant! You feel like you are the islands when you’re a few minutes off the freeway!

Nice place on the river. You almost feel like you are on a beach resort. Food was great, service was great. Had a slight wait to enter, but we were able to get drinks. The ramp to get to this place was slightly challenging, but well worth it. A nice place to go, especially if the weather is nice.

Maybe the best clam chowder I’ve ever had, and that says a lot. The atmosphere is really neat as well but like other reviewers have mentioned, the ramp down could be tricky to some with limited mobility.

FYI: if you cannot Handel steep downgrades or steep upgrades or have heart or cardiovascular issues then you should not go here as the ramp is very steep.

This was a new experience for us. We have never dined on a floating cafe. The wait was a bit long, but it was a sunny beautiful Saturday evening. The menu had alot of different items. There were even a few gluten free entrees. Everything was good and the portion sizes were large. The service was good but the new hire was not well trained for our size of group. A seasoned waitress came to help and teach the new girl. We watched boats drive by while waiting for our meals. We will eat here again at a less busy time. One negative thing, Which is totally out of their control, the ramp to go down to the cafe was steep due to the low water level. But something to know for some families. There is also a small novelty store next to the restaurant. Fun to look in while waiting. We found a few trinkets and treasures!

We had an extra day in Portland after I finished my work and just wanted to see the area. My wife found Island Cafe in one of her searches, and we stopped in for lunch. It was awesome… the food, the staff, and the setting. If we are in the Portland area again, it will be on the list.

We loved this place! Outdoor seating near the water with good vibes. There was a 20 minute wait, but we could order and consume drinks during the wait and sit in a shaded area. The wait staff was friendly, good variety on the menu. Food was excellent, from salads to burgers to tuna. We would eat here again!

Great place floating on the Columbia River. Delicious food And tasty drinks. The atmosphere is amazing with boats docking along side and much waterfowl making their rounds.

Popped in for the famous key lime pie & Margaritas. Went with a group of friends that live locally. Loved sitting on the floating deck. It was a beautiful day and a wonderful place to spend the afternoon.
