Pro tip – Pickup lunch at the food trucks and eat at the adjacent outdoor covered Rolex Arena assuming it’s a competition day. I wish we had.
The quality of food at Iron Works Cafe reminded us of a bad day at your average elementary cafeteria or summer camp. Our Philly cheese steaks came from a can and were soaked with a generous liquid soup concentration of onions and remnants of peppers. The hamburger was thawed, flavorless and overly dry. Fries weren’t bad, but were cold. Everything appeared precooked for the lunch crowd. Lemonade and sweet tea were good, but no lids available for cups. Ice was scooped out of a small cooler back at cash register. No ice machine to be found. Prices were set for convenience of not having to leave the venue site for a meal.

I think people are expecting fine dining. It is very good for what it is. Is it fine dining? Of course not. Is it better than your average cafeteria food? Absolutely.

Food is absolutely terrible, overly greasy and not fresh. Even worse, the staff is incredibly rude and demeaning. I will never come back to this restaurant or the horse park ever again! Horrible experience considering the amount of money it costs to visit.
