The cigarette smoke was appalling. Never would think in 2025 there were any restaurants that allowed smoking. It wasn’t in the main seating but the adjacent casino area. Both areas were wide open to each other. Also waited several minutes for staff to even acknowledge me to seat me. They were too busy talking. Toast was burned. Cheese was just slapped on the omelet. Not really worthy to stop again.

It was a great place to eat sit down. Relax a lot of the waitresses was very friendly but now they closed the restaurant down. Now and probably the black bear diner is going in there. And the prices are gonna skyrocket. Thank you. Thank you very much. You know how to wreck a good thing now I don’t even stop there.

I orderd the surf and turf. It was all good but the stake that I order medium rarer was a flank stake I could nearly chew. The waitress was good she was understaffed . Thanks to her for doing the best she could. Started out good as you can see in the pic’s but I just could not chew it…

The place smells like smoke but whatever. What gets me is the salad is always brown and somebody save it because it’s drowning in ranch. Asked for no toast. Not today Satan! The steak is why it has stars. It was good. Edit came back again the the steak and green beans where bomb but sadly my salad was drowning again. I added the pic of the steak. Also do me a favor if you read my reviews please follow here on google I do reviews across the nation. Tia

Service is non-existent here. Sign says wait to be seated, but there is no one to seat you. This would be a wonderful place for a Black Bear Diner.

9/8/24 6:10 am still not open.

Review: once you get past the smoke of the casino you’ll arrive at the restaurant. The food is what I’d expect, I won’t belabor the point. If you’re driving through or a trucker, you’ll appreciate this place for what it is.

This place has really gone downhill. Order at the counter, very limited menu. Food was gross. I will never eat here again, for the money you can do better.

I shouldn’t have eaten the stuff on the plate, the breakfast meatloaf hash was the food version of herpes. The substance on the toast was that new product “I CAN Believe It’s NOT BUTTER!” and tasted like oily disappointment.

Why did I eat this? I’ve eaten sketchy things before but the sheer volume and frequency of liquid poo a day later is making me rethink my thought of “it can’t be THAT bad” as I looked at the portion of substance on the plate and decided to go for it.

I have lost the moral high ground of criticizing my dog for eating things off the ground at the truck stop.

“deluxe” nachos. This is the new and improved version after they were brought back with chicken and a scoop of sour cream. I think the green things are onions.
The “queso sauce” is amazing, in that it stays liquid on all the cold spots.
I took a couple of bites and left what you see in the photo. Left a $5 tip for the nice server.
But try something else instead, preferably a dish that comes with “garlic bread”. Keep a sense of humor, but I’m done wasting money on this place.
ps, the cigarette smoke is wretched.

The most uncomfortable comfort food. Serves breakfast all day because they don’t throw anything out. Meal tasted like it was cooked three days and reheated by the sun. Do not recomend and will not be returning. Staff was friendly.

On April 27th, I visited the Iron Skillet restaurant at the Petro in Sparks, NV, for the third consecutive day. Each visit (Friday lunch, Saturday and Sunday breakfast) was marked by poor service and staffing issues. Despite the restaurant operating with limited seating, I had to wait for a clean table each time. Only one waitress and an absent busboy were on duty, leading to excessive delays. On Sunday, I was seated at a dirty table and waited 15 minutes before ordering. My meal—pancakes and bacon—was delayed and poorly prepared. When I complained, the waitress initially tried to offer another customer’s food before remaking mine. The replacement was slightly better, but the pancakes were still dry. Utensils were missing, and I had to get them from another table. Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience. This location urgently needs more staff and better kitchen quality.
