I came here for breakfast on a Saturday afternoon. There was no crowd. Maybe 15 people total in the restaurant.
I wanted the pancake breakfast, but the menu says it comes with 5 pancakes. I didn’t know if I could eat 5 pancakes. The pancake breakfast also comes with 2 eggs and your choice of meat. I also ordered a side of hash browns.
The pancakes tasted very good. And no, I could not finish all 5 of them. I got thru maybe 4 of them. They had a flavor like they were made from scratch.
The food was good. The service was excellent. The restaurant was clean, but a little bit dated.

The revamped menu at Iron Skillet and Country Pride leaves me feeling the shrinkflation. Back in the day, they had the buffet with the expansive salad bar. It was something for us truckers to really look forward to. Now, we get this poor, pathetic little plate that leaves us hungry. Their restaurants are empty for a reason.

Food was good. Service just sucked. No smiling faces, staff looked more like they wanted to be home than wanting to be there. Had to ask for everything. Guy sees we have a toddler “had to ask for highchair “, had to ask for silverware, ketchup, jelly and butter. This is stuff that should be brought out with breakfast items. I said thank you numerous time and nothing was said back. I’m not sure if they are like this with everyone one or just white folk but damn. Not all white folk in the south is the same. I would of tipped 20 but instead tipped 1. I hate that I but I can’t tip high on poor service. I also can’t understand how my bill was 50 when my food was 15, my wife’s 12 and my daughter had a child’s plate.

Great service, and the food was really good. I was expecting high prices but I didn’t spend but a few dollars more than fast did and the difference in quality of food was by far super exceeded!! Recommend this if you are out on the road for a decent priced meal that’s not crap food!!

The staff and atmosphere was great. This is a quiet truck stop with a little diner located inside. I ordered the patty melt with a loaded baked potato. The potato was great but the advertised 1/2 Lb beef patty on the melt was hardly 1/4 Lb to start with. It had no flavor and was over cooked. The waitress was very prompt, kind, and easy on the eyes. The restaurant was very clean and kept. I’d come back and try something else on the menu.

Food tasted good and didnt take too long. Really my only issue is the staff. Every time I eat here the staff looks absolutely miserable. Like they regret every life decision they ever made. Slow, no smile, bare minimum acknowledgement.

My husband and I have been searching high and low for a place to eat this morning. We stopped here because I remember eating here with my mom when I was younger and I enjoyed myself. However. We’re still sitting here after asking for a coffee rather a coke and its still has not been given after 10 mins and barely anyone in the restaurant. The waiter also has no enthusiasm and speaks so low you cant understand anything he’s saying. Honestly. Haven’t gotten any food yet so im curious to know whether or not the service is worth the food. Our original waitress is no where to be seen.

Stopped here for breakfast, and it was OK. Usually, iron skillet has better food. My omelets do not have enough salt. Same with all vegetables and potatoes. Too much grease.
