This is what I hoped to find in the south. Legit BBQ and sides with well-seasoned, smoked meats. They’re physically chopping the wood to feed the smoker which is the stream engine pictured.

Food was pretty good, we had the pulled pork. The sauce is vinegar based and you could really taste the vinegar. I enjoyed it my husband thought it was too strong but that’s just a personal preference thing, nothing negative about the food itself. The coleslaw wasn’t my cup of tea. The beans were decent.

Totally unexpected. The service was great. The food was awesome. I had been driving by this place for some time and never noticed it. I would not have expected could one could eat so good. The food was hot. And plenty of it. I had ordered the family meal and was not sure if it would feed all of use. Boy was I mistaken. Had enough to eat for three days. Bbq, rolls, slaw,and Brunswick stew. Only thing missing was a gallon of sweet tea but, you cannot complain for the amount of food. Also cam with the bbq sauce, lots of it. Definitely eating here again.

Love the style of this place. 100% local “shack” slightly off the main street. Had the Briaket sandwich plate and the Pulled pork sandwich plate. The Brisket was so dry I couldn’t finish it. I added more BBQ sauce, but it didn’t help. The pulled pork was sooooo nice and tender. Beans were the best I’ve ever had.

Atmosphere is amazing the smoky smell of BBQ and the decor is
phenomenal although I order a 1/2 pound of pulled pork and it was okay but the sauce made it way better overall would recommend but if you order 1/2 pound know that you are only getting a half pound and sauce separately. Nothing else

Wonderful food, wonderful people! Be sure and stop by the Pig, even if it’s just a little bit out of the way. I came from Winder, it was well worth the trip! Smoky pork, stew, slaw and the best beans you’ve ever had! You won’t be disappointed, I guarantee!
