The food was good and they had a nice beer selection, but it was about 1 1/2 hours from the time we walked in to when we left. If you have time and are not in a rush, it’s a good place.
The restaurant was fairly busy, but not full. Got our drinks and appetizer quickly. But then it took over an hour for our entrees to arrive after we ordered them. It wasn’t really an issue for me, because I just had a couple more beers, but don’t expect to get in and out in under an hour.

We live in Paulding, & as many of you know there isn’t jack diddly here to order take-out besides the trashy fast food joints or a pizza place. Neither of us wanted to travel to Fort Wayne either, just to grab a burger. So last night we ordered carry out from iron horse brews & we’ve been here a few times in the pass but never thought to do a carryout order.
I placed the order and my wife went and picked it up. We were told 20 minutes when she got there they were just going through our order to make sure everything was correct. She said it was a quick in & out. Then, when she got home, we sat at the table to eat dinner and everything was excellent.
I got the bourbon burger & onion rings & gawd it was good. My wife got the pulled pork Mac & cheese & she gobbled that down in a hurry, & the my daughter got the 3 meat platter. She seemed to really enjoy it but they only put 1 small piece of brisket in it but she said otherwise it was “smackin”
I would highly recommend this place.

Went on 2 different occasions. Mother’s day was busy, yet the waiter at the bar was very attentive. We had the brisket nachos, and the 3 meat platter was amazing, we came back thru a week later and had mozzarella cheese sticks and the meat lovers pizza. Again the food and service was wonderful. Live in Michigan and had to make the drive for a piece of equipment but, If we ever get that way again, we will definitely stop in! 5 stars all day.

Food was decent, beer was good, service was atrocious. Twice during our visit I watched our drinks be placed at the end of the bar for our waitress to bring to our table only for them to sit there for 15 minutes (I timed it). Rather than receive another luke warm beer I took upon myself to walk to the bar myself to pick up our orders. When I explained to the bartender what I was doing he gave me a look that made me think this was an everyday occurrence. First time/last time visit.

Was in the area and decided to try. Only a couple of small hiccups with the service. (Like not giving plates immediately with the appetizer & forgetting our wine slushies until we were almost finished eating) started off with the bacon wrapped japalanos ( didn’t get a picture). My husband ordered a 3 meat platter. (Ribs, sausage & brisket) He said the ribs were outstanding. My mom and I each ordered a pizza ( knowing we’d take the left overs home) These were definitely not cheated out of cheese! If you are a person who orders double cheese these are the pizzas for you!
Will definitely come back… many items on the menu we want to try.

Iron Horse Brews surpassed my expectations! For being located in a small town, seemingly in the middle of nowhere, the atmosphere is nice, clean and modern. The cocktails were great and all the food we tried was delicious. We had the mac and cheese with pulled pork. really interesting good BBQ sauce drizzled on it! The brisket was slightly dry but that was the only one minor complaint that I could find with the food. The pulled pork and sausage were good. The baked beans were flavored well and there was meat in them. Even the fresh cut seasoned french fries were delicious. The meats didn’t have a heavy smoke flavor, there could be more for my liking, but again they were all good. Would definitely try this place again if I’m ever in the area!

Fabulous lunch at Iron Horse Brews in Sherwood, Ohio. Really it’s less than an hour east of Fort Wayne and totally worth the drive.
The place is clean & stylish. The service was polite and efficient (Julz actually was fantastic). The food was the best part! It was super fabulous and I don’t say that lightly. I had the lunch pulled pork mac bowl for only $10! The pulled pork was so smoky and good it didn’t even need sauce but the sauce did add something with the mac and cheese.
Patrick had a fried smoked bologna sandwich. I can’t get over how thick the bologna was. It’s not my sandwich, but Patrick loves it. They also make these house chips that have a sweet barbecue flavor. Everyone needs to take a road trip and
get a good lunch!
Or you can go in the evening and try the beer.

Iron Horse Brews is the ultimate small town treasure! Since all of the menu items/recipes are made from scratch, there’s a special unique flavor that you just can’t get anywhere else. Not only are the fries & chips hand cut and every entree is made from scratch, every BBQ sauce, including ranch, are also made in-house as well. Just when you think it can’t get any better, their specials & unique cheesecake flavors change every single week. This is the place to go if you love trying new food options. Perfect place for families, those that love a historic train environment, or for those that enjoy taste testing local Ohio Craft Brews from all 16 taps handles.
