Kansas City BBQ homemade in Kansas City. How else is there? The staff were wonderful and treated guests as friends. We were passing through on a road trip and located Iron Horse BBQ based on the reviews. Hands down the best choice of this cross country trip. Pulled Pork was excellent and the sauce was amazing. If you want a great experience and delicious BBQ, look no more!

Great food and friendly service at Iron Horse BBQ! The only downside to my visit, was the length of time it took for my order to be prepared. There was just one young lady there working as both the cashier and cook initially, but then an older gal came out and spoke to me – I believe she might have been either the owner or manager, and explained to me that staffing had been a big problem for their business during Covid-19. Regardless of their staffing issues, they still put their best foot forward and served us up some tasty BBQ!

When this place 1st opened they were amazing and the food had great flavor. Not sure who has taken over but whoever they are is running this place into the ground. Last 3 times we have been in, the quality and flavor of food has decreased SIGNIFICANTLY. You can absolutely taste the changes from quality meats, beans and everything else to just whatever cheap junk the new person running the business can purchase.

The BBQ pulled pork sandwich is the best I have ever had!! The meat was moist, tender, with a wonderful smoke flavor. The sweet sauce was tangy and yummy! The young waitress was so friendly and courteous. The inside of the place looked a little worn-down, but they are moving to a bigger and better site in August. Next time I travel through this area, I will definitely make a stop for a meal!

Absolutely 5 stars! The staff were very friendly and welcoming. And the food was phenomenal! I ordered a dinner plate with 2 meats and 2 sides. I chose the brisket which was so tender and perfectly smoked. The smoked sausage was amazing as well! Very hard to find brisket that is smoked just right. I ordered fries and baked beans for the sides. The baked beans were amazing as well. Everything very tasty. That guy who left a bad review was probably on drugs or something because he sure wasn’t talking about this place. I say, go for it! You WILL NOT be disappointed!

Loved this place. Picked it at random and I was throughly impressed. Quaint and family-run. Excellent host/waitress. It was like eating delicious BBQ at your grandma’s house no had a stellar pulled pork sandwich that was massive and some amazing potato salad. I would definitely come back here.
