The fried rice I ordered last time was completely different today, and not in a good way. The low-quality chicken in it was so bad it made me gag. Consistency is key for any restaurant, and they completely missed the mark.
The ordering system is another issue. You’re supposed to order on a screen, but if you don’t know what everything is, good luck—there’s nobody around to help. That’s why I played it safe and ordered the same thing as last time. Even something as simple as asking for a slice of lemon for water was met with, “We don’t have it.”
Overall, it’s clear why this place struggles to attract customers
To be honest, the food was not great. We tried several different things; shrimp tempera, kimchi fried rice, chicken teriyaki, spicy pork bulgolgi, and vegetable kimbop. Sadly, other than the VERY large portion sizes, we didn’t think the food was good by any means. I think we were hoping for more traditional flavors. We felt that most things were too sweet and inauthentic when it came to seasoning. We did not try any of the desserts, but they did look nice! Unfortunately, due to the lack of flavor, and leaving not feeling great afterwards, we wouldn’t eat here again.
Service was exceptional! Older lady, who’s maybe the owner, checked on us multiple times to see if everything was good. In addition, she even brought our Cupbops to the table to let us know about the sauce.
Updated: Kimbap is so tasty, katsu is so so good. I am glad they expended their menus so it’s not only katsu, I love kimbap, ramen, bulgogi bowl or bibimbup, street foods (dine in only), and Korean fried chicken. We apparently are here for lunch more than 3-4 times a week.
Just please be patient sometime they’re many customers at peak hours (good for business), foods may take longer to get.
But I don’t mind at all. Not that long of wait anyway, and foods mannnn are always awesome sauce!!
