My favorite coffee shop in the surrounding city areas that I’ve been too. The vibes are everything! The staff was super friendly and helpful for getting me a decaf option. The spring drink I had with raspberry I think was insane. I could drink it every single day of my life. I would like to return and spin some vinyl and sip coffee. Can’t get anymore hipster than that but it’s ok in this setting. I love the bohemian light directions and the entire building itself. The old wood really fits a coffee shop feel and the curio cabinets with the menus and other wares is a beautiful touch. Keep this place in business and get your daily/weekly cup of Joe here when you can! This place makes Franklin shine!

Neat little coffee shop with a friendly atmosphere. Not the biggest coffee shop selection but they gave good recommendations for what was missing. Several seating options which is always a bonus. We were glad to find some drinkable caffeine while passing through.

Named after the infamous local Iron Furnace landmark, this gem is a worthwhile stop for coffee lovers and vinyl collectors alike. There’s a cool little record store they have in the back called “Weird Fish Records” that also has players and equipment pieces for them, and I believe some merch as well.
The Blueberry cardamom latte here is the BOMB! I love that they make all their flavored coffee syrups there in house too, that’s another unique quality this place has and something I’ve never heard of before, even in individually owned artisan coffee shops. They also have breakfast bagels, the French toast one has a slight hint of flavor that I wish was stronger. And they host classes too!
Thanks for adding some unique local flair to Franklin! ☕️

Smaller cup sizes than I’m used to at my local coffee shop, but the latte is great. I love the atmosphere, and plenty of seating. Soft seats in the back, small tables or ginormous, or sit at the front live edge slab, and watch the pedestrians and traffic. A bustling historic downtown.

The location:
When I moved, I feared that my journey into the realm of coffee had come to an abrupt halt just as it was starting to open up to me.
I thought that I had left the only coffee that I would ever truly enjoy back where I came from in a little amish pretzel shop
I do believe that assessment was, however, wrong.
Because Iron Furnace coffee is an excellent spot with a small record store in the back, full of vintage/antique furniture that feels like it’s not trying to be special; it just is special.
