Best pork tenderloin of all time, and amazing mac & cheese with chicken & bacon! Devin, Ashley and Diamond all made us feel most welcome, and genuinely love their jobs and were eager to share their great food and service. 10 of 10 recommend and will return!

Great food, a little pricey but everyone loved their meals. I think they should turn the lights down a bit to give better ambience. Add some rugs on the floor. Lots of dead animals hanging on the wall if you like that kind of stuff.

Caught the restaurant out of the corner or our eye as we turned into town. Get the sausage sampler, and make sure it had the rattle snake and rabbit sausage on it. The tenderloin was great. Save room for the hand pie!

I heard that this steakhouse opened only a few months ago but you would never know it. Great chef and a great menu! I had the exquisite trout, shrimp and sausage, penne pasta, gluten-free! Unbelievable! Great ambiance and great service. We’re only passing through but we’ll be back.

Husband and I decided to stop in on our last night in the area. Our server Devon (sp?) was awesome! He was very friendly and gave us a lot of great recommendations. The spinach salad was great with added trout cakes. My husband was pleased with the steak. Try those Karen’s cheesy potatoes – they’re so good and sinful! The lemon hand pie we shared at the end was incredible with the most amazing glaze on top. Feels like a big chain but is a local one-off here. You’ll be glad you stopped in!

Was driving past and noticed the word “Steakhouse”..exactly what we were craving for, driving past pastoral ranches with happy cows grazing away. Food and beer didn’t disappoint. Cheese potatoes will remind one of this place, steak was delicious, colorado beer to wash it all down. A must-stop for if you’re on the road and want a place that satisfies.

Personally I can’t stand to go into any business with taxidermy all over the walls. If that’s your thing then you’ll love it. The food was not what we expected for the prices. The chicken parmesan with a tomato cream sauce was extremely bland. It wasn’t tasty at all. The steak was ordered at medium rare but was cooked to medium well. No we didn’t send anything back as we feel it should have been cooked correctly the first time. While we were eating the server asked us if we wanted dessert. I looked at him in disbelief and told him we were still trying to eat what was served to us. It was just an odd experience. The drinks were decent. We have no desire to go back.

We celebrated our anniversary at the Iron Chest. The trout cakes and churched up Caesar salad were fresh and delicious. My husband’s steak was perfectly cooked as well. This is a fairly new restaurant and yet the expected kinks have already been worked out. The atmosphere is very ‘Colorado’ and we had plenty of room. Highly recommend!
