We happened in here and from the moment the waiter started talking we just loved it. He explained place and with pride talked about it being a scratch kitchen with daily prep.
The at table guac and the ceviche were over the top good.
Our friends salad was good as he complains about everything and didn’t complain about it.
We had the southwest paella. Thank goodness we split it. It was very good but very heavy.
We all loved our drinks as well
High recommend for a place surrounded by the basic things you can find anywhere.

Had dinner at Iron Cactus on the Riverwalk. Probably one of the best drinks I’ve ever had was the Mezcal Royale. Really good smokey spicy flavor. Tableside was had great flavor. Fish tacos were good. Not a fan of their salsa. To me salsa shouldn’t be served warm. Might as well just be marinera. The service wasn’t great. Took about 15 mins to be acknowledged. Getting our drinks took about 20 minutes to get. We ordered our drinks first and finished our appetizer before the drinks arrived at the table. We probably would have ordered more drinks but didn’t want to wait. Nice location and great outdoor seating along the Riverwalk.

Our server was amazing. Thank you Nick for the amazing job you did. Our food was delicious but our clam chowder was simply superb. I can describe how good it was. I never had a clam chowder even come close to this. We also had the smash burger with lobster. The burger was seasoned to perfection and tasted amazing. We had the clams and pasta also. Also amazing. Sorry I didn’t take mow pics

A couple of weeks ago while on the Riverwalk my friend and I found a seat quickly at the bar here while many people stood waiting to get on a 45-60 minute wait list for riverside tables and larger four and six tops. The bar was just fine and there was college football on TV.
We ordered drinks and appetizers. The food came out before the drinks, which took quite a while, as the bar was backed up. Once served though the drinks were good. The food was pretty good too.
This restaurant had a high energy vibe being along the river. And the holiday lights lit up the Riverwalk drawing a big crowd. It was an enjoyable stop for dinner.

My husband and I had the pleasure of eating twice at the fabulous Iron Cactus Mexican Restaurant while in San Antonio and the food was absolutely delicious! Both of our servers, Carla and Janelle, were so friendly and efficient! They made our experience wonderful! The salsas were the best we have ever tasted too! Absolutely yummy!

I found paper in my burger (the cheese divider), which is honestly ridiculous. I only came here because of the location, and I definitely won’t be coming back.
What made it worse was how it was handled. The shift manager didn’t apologize or offer to take the sandwich off the bill. Instead, he just offered to remake it. The food also took about 25 minutes to come out.
I ordered the Cabo chicken sandwich. The bartender was nice, but the manager clearly didn’t care.
Overall, one of the worst experiences I’ve had..

Waitress Nicole was right on with her suggestion and made our dinner amazing.
Well the show stealer was the Carrot Habanero sauce! Fajitas and muscles with a cream sauce were great. I would eat here again for sure.

Excellent service for a spur of the moment Saturday night dinner date downtown. We were seated immediately. Waiter was great. I had the Mexican meatloaf because I saw it had chorizo and as a 5 year San Antonian I love it. It was superb! Along with the mashed potatoes, street corn and Mexican rice. Wife had the Pescado Del Mar and said it was absolutely perfect. We will definitely be dining at the Iron cactus again soon. Also the view in December are great!

Natasha was our server and she was amazing! We got a coupon for free chips and queso from our hotel, the Hyatt, so that’s why we ended up here. It certainly did not disappoint! Fantastic chips, salsa and queso. For lunch we enjoyed Shrimp enchiladas and shrimp tacos. We arrived starved and left happy and stuffed! A great way to start out our San Antonio trip, ask for Natasha and you’ll be glad you did.

This place was recommended to me by two different people so I tried it. I got the grilled romaine salad with the black pepper crusted tuna. It was the best salad I’ve ever had. Seriously. The chips and salsa were also incredible. My waitress, Jennifer, was so sweet and helpful too. I will be back. Very impressed
