Had a few of their specialty drinks and really liked them. Rock-n-Rye was one of them. The person who came up with it was our waiter last time, I tried a few more of the mixed drinks he came up with and they were good but I do not recall the names.
We have also been here for Booze N’ Brunch, Karaoke and live band and had a good time for that as well.
They also have a rewards card that we signed up for. We will for sure be back again and again.
The bartender was incredibly accommodating, and she took the time to point out the late-night food menu. That tip led us to try the corned beef sandwich with an enormous side of mashed potatoes, as well as the fish and chips—both of which were excellent. We were so impressed by the generous portions that we even ended up taking some food home later in the night.
Drinks were reasonably priced and there was an impressive selection of beers available, which added to the overall appeal of the tavern. The decor is stylish and the open layout creates a welcoming vibe that makes it a great spot to relax and unwind.
While I enjoyed my visit and would happily return, the reason for the four stars instead of a full five is that there’s always a little room for improvement in service speed during peak times. Still, if you’re on this side of town and looking for a fun, friendly atmosphere with solid food and drink options, the Irish Tavern is definitely worth checking out.
Every dish feels like it was made by someone who genuinely cares about flavor, quality, and portion size. The menu is packed with hearty Irish classics and elevated comfort food that somehow manages to be rich without being heavy, filling without being overwhelming, and indulgent without ever feeling lazy. Everything comes out hot, fresh, and beautifully put together — no shortcuts, no excuses.
The flavors are deep and satisfying, the kind that stick with you. Crispy where it should be crispy, tender where it should be tender, and perfectly seasoned across the board. You can tell the kitchen knows exactly what it’s doing. Whether it’s savory, salty, buttery, or slow-cooked to perfection, every bite tastes intentional.
Portion sizes deserve their own applause. You leave full, happy, and already planning what you’re ordering next time. And the food pairs perfectly with their drink selection — it’s clear the menu was designed to complement a great pint rather than compete with it.
Even better? The food is consistent. It doesn’t matter when you come or how busy it is — the quality never drops. That alone says everything you need to know about the kitchen and the pride behind it.
Garrett’s Irish Tavern doesn’t just serve food — it delivers comfort, warmth, and straight-up satisfaction on a plate. If you’re coming hungry, you’re leaving impressed. If you’re not hungry… you will be. ️
Had the Cod Boxty (think super crêpe gently cuddling your food) and fries—perfection!
Madison went above and beyond to make sure we had an excellent experience.
Fish & Chips, Sandwiches. Everything was good and moved fast.
In & out in an hour. Nice atmosphere. A little bit loud.
Recommend to everyone.
