I had oxtail the first time, the meat was very tender and delicious with a big portion. The second time I tried the jerk chicken and wow! It has a good kick to it and I’ll definitely be getting this again. I’m looking forward to trying new items off the menu! The customer service was friendly and I was served quickly.

Wish I could give less stars in all honesty. I love and breathe Jamaican food but this is not it. I walked in and said how u doing and she just stared at me. Then as I’m looking at the food up front everything look nasty so I tried to go with the simplest item which was curry chicken. As I’m eating I’m getting this bad taste in my mouth and it’s because the meat was red………..need I say more? The curry had no taste and the steam cabbage was hard than a fried dumpling. The only thing was good was the cocoa bread. Very glad I didn’t spend my own money on this. Won’t come here ever.

This place is excellent for a island food restaurant! It doesn’t just have one type of island dish but a influence of all. There customer service is great and the food truly made me feel like I was home again. For a island experience in America, this is a good spot that I will continue to visit!!! Definitely recommend visiting!

This place is awesome. A different but traditional restaurant. My meal here was under $35. Fresh ingredients was used. Fresh chicken. Warm coco bread. This place has mixed reviews but I can assure you, this establishment is very nice and the inside is lounge style. Give this place a chance!

I walked in and their was only 1 person ahead of me. I was not greeted. So I stood there waiting while she makes eye contact fixing the other person’s food. After waiting 6 minutes she finally says I’ll be with you. I finally get to order the oxtail dinner and a beef pattie. The beef pattie was flat with barely any beef. The oxtails were basically meatless. To me, the minute amount of meat looked like it was mixed with some old oxtails. There was barely any meat on the bones. The only 1 big oxtail I had was ok. The rest were bones and bare. They only give you about 5 pieces, but only 1 piece was normal sized. The rice and cabbage was ok. I was definitely not full or satisfied. I called back to let them know what happened. They apologized. I won’t be returning. Waste of time and money. Sorry.

Stood in like for almost an hour just for them to be out of curry chicken when they knew they had people waiting a very long time and this is something that should have been announced. Additionally, they move VERY slow. Do not recommend if you have high hopes.

Ate there last night and will NOT be going back. Service was horrible and I know good Caribbean food and this is not it. This food lacked flavor, oxtails were bland and jerk chicken was HOT with no flavor. Everyone that works there had a very attitude and that would be a no return for us.

Wanted to try this place for my birthday. I was disappointed with the jerk chicken as it seemed too bland. Rice and beans were to dry for my taste. The cabbage was okay. The beef patty was awesome in taste and had a flaky crust but lacked in filling.

I was so happy to find this place. They’ve moved a few times. I had the oxtail, and I was not disappointed. It was delicious Everything about the place was wonderful. It’s in a good location, it’s clean and cheerfully decorated. The staff is friendly, and the food is authentic and scrumptious. I wish they were closer to me, but they’re right off 495 in a large shopping area, so it’s not a pain to get to. I’ll be back.

Real authentic Jamaican food!!!! I’m shocked to see this only has two and a half stars. The moment I saw the food, I said this going to be good.. A real yardie sometimes can just look and tell when the food good. The fried dumplings is to die for, the stew chicken and soup. My first time and I had to go back and purchased more dumplings and soup. The young lady that served us was so friendly ( you know a nuh all Jamaicans tan so ). It take a lot for me to write a comment and give five stars. Jerk Cafe, the ting tun up!!! Sorry I didn’t get the lady’s name.
