Ziggy greeted and seated us upon arriving. We transitioned to Jillian after shift-change, she gave us amazing service throughout our meal. Everything was appealing. The whitefish & rye bread appetizer was very fresh and flavorful. My wife’s side cup of onion soup was hot and delicious and the beer braised bratwurst was very tender. I was looking forward to the “Fat Tuesday Special” Chicken & Shrimp Gumbo based on the description of andouille, chicken and shrimp. However when it arrived at the table in a round cast iron skillet on a wooden trivet it was lacking the shrimp. Jillian inquired with the kitchen, they stated it was chopped up in the dish. There was none and the pan was cool. I was able to pick it up and hold my hand under it. The General Manager Garrett came out and sat with us. Upon his inspection he also determined there was no shrimp noticeable. He immediately had a fresh batch prepared. It came out piping hot with ample shrimp. It lacked chicken like in the first one, but I much preferred the amount of shrimp. It is disappointing though when specific ingredients are clearly listed on the menu, but it was clearly llacking in the meal. It was rectified immediately and I would still highly recommend this restaurant to others

Went to brunch on Sunday during Octoberfest to watch a football game only to be told they couldn’t play the game on any of the 8 tvs. Wish I would have just left then.

I ordered the Irene omelette and was very disappointed that it came with canned mushrooms for a 17 dollar breakfast plate. The omelette also had red and green peppers and tomatoes which wasn’t included in the menu description or ordered. Only reason I didn’t complain was I was very hungry after waiting over 20 minutes for our food despite the dining room being almost empty.

Wife’s Benedict had hard poached eggs and the same canned mushrooms. Toast was too hard to eat and had to ask for jelly and wait another 8 minutes. Kids pancakes were okay but were definitely bisque brand.

This was the most disappointing brunch meal I’ve ever had and that’s before you consider the unreasonable prices.

This was my first here and Adrianna (Andi) made it so amazing! She was definitely attentive and fun! She had great knowledge on the menu and gave us great options! If you visit here, please request her as your waitress!

Glad we tried this place. Very big on the inside, has virtual golf, and superb German themed dishes and beers. Beautful inside and convenient location. The ricotta pancakes and monte cristo are great desserts. We ordered many dishes and they were all better than most other places. This might be our favorite restaurant so far, checks all the boxes.

Irene’s has had a few changes and they a definitely positive ones.

There is a new cook. The difference is really amazing. The same “Food”, but it tastes so much better.

The menu has been expanded and it really gives a wider range of choices. After trying a couple of the new dishes and one of the earlier ones it is fair to say that Irene’s is to be highly recommended.

The staff was ok before, but now there seems to be a difference in things. From the hostess( who was using some pretty nice dance moves to keep people smiling), to the wait staff and kitchen staff. There is a better cohesion, you can see a difference and see the team work.

Our waitress was really nice, attentive. She was spot on from getting our drinks out quickly, taking our order and getting the appetizer to us. There was not a long wait for getting our food even though it was fairly busy. Kept the drinks filled and came by a couple times making sure everything was ok, and if we needed anything.

Even if you live a hour or so away Irene’s is really worth the trip. The food is great and it has things on the menu you won’t find at other restaurants.

This place is beautiful from head to toe! Lights, ceiling, tables, everything beautiful and spotless. There with a group and everyone’s entrees were amazing especially the schnitzel!! Did not love the potato leak soup – but could just be my personal taste. Honestly, the only thing I would work on is the temperament and attention of the wait staff. She was just not very nice or happy to be there. I get that everyone can have an off day, but her attitude was the only disappointing thing about our experience. We will definitely be back for the food and atmosphere!

Our first visit to Irene‘s craft kitchen was fantastic! Service was wonderful. The food was excellent and the atmosphere is top-notch. Such good vibes, beautiful bar lots of seating and two really cool golf simulators. Bathrooms were clean and all of the service personnel were extremely friendly and helpful. I look forward to going back.

I’ve been to Irene’s more times than I can count now and each time has been a consistent wonderful experience. The food is all made from scratch and authentic European cuisine. No freezer, no microwave! The schnitzel is probably the best I’ve had at the level of Hofbrauhaus in Kentucky and Maders in Milwaukee, I only wish they offered Jägerschnitzel which is a traditional preparation with a mushroom gravy.
However a little secret is to order a side of pan gravy that can achieve an equally delicious result. The menu contains excellent diversity in European dishes, though you may need your phone to understand what some of the dishes are. Perhaps a more descriptive menu could be an improvement. The desserts are also all made from scratch, and my absolute favorite is the Black Forest Cake. You can taste the scratch quality in everything!

Service has also been great every time that I have been there. I always give the benefit of the doubt when a restaurant is so new, but Irene’s staff is already performing excellently. The owner makes their presence known and is constantly checking on their diners experience, which is also refreshing.

Grand Blanc in my opinion has been lacking a unique dining experience for a long time. It seems lately there’s been a focus on sandwich shops or chicken shops. Italian and Pizza also get old after a while. Irene’s is a breath of fresh air that the Grand Blanc community has been needing for a long time.

Irene’s unique scratch European cuisine offers something delicious for everyone, it’s atmosphere finally provides a comfortable and elegant eatery that’s been missing in the community, and I’m excited to see what they can do with the outdoor biergarten in the summer.

UPDATE: I’ve been a mug club member at Irene’s most of this year. The service and food has been exemplary and the bar staff does an absolutely incredible job! Lissa is the bar manager and does a phenomenal job not only with cocktails and creme brulee (my favorite), but her level of service and welcoming demeanor are a shining example of the quality of service and warm atmosphere you’ll receive at Irene’s from all staff members. All of the bartenders and wait staff here are my favorite and there’s a reason why I’m at Irene’s multiple days a week. Try it! Trust me, you’ll love it! ❤️
