A hidden gem! Never knew about it. We love Brazilian Steakhouses and had never knew about this one so off we went! Reservations are recommended but not required but due to the limited amount of tables, do so on the really busy days (F-S-SUN). We went on a Tues night and had made reservations for when they opened at 5pm. The atmosphere is awesome, lighting low, nice decor, really cozy. The staff were very attentive and fun, always quick to serve when something was needed. Now to the food.. This was a little different from other Brazilian Steakhouses we have visited when it came to the sides. They were buffet style. The salad bar had a large amount of fresh options on it. See photos for an example. Now to the meats. Absolutely amazing they were. I tried most of them and I wanted more everytime. Very tender and nicely seasoned. Pineapple was also on the skewer and was amazing the point I had thirds lol. We didnt have enough room for dessert so I cannot say anything about that option, but Im sure they are killer. Made to order drinks and beers are available from the bar. Senior citizens get a discount. The price of 59.95 was very good for the experience we had. I cannot say anything bad at all. We shall be back for sure and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

When we arrived, we were told that they were short-staffed. I have to say, there was no way we would have known had they not told us. The service was absolutely fantastic and the food was delicious. Rafael was quick to bring the specific meats we requested as well as the marvelous pineapple – always smiling, and so kind and gracious. Every member of the staff was wonderful. Thank you to Genesis who seated us and Katherine our server as well as the rest of those who brought our food making sure our plates were never empty and also those who prepared all of food. You made our anniversary a perfect experience.

I don’t normally leave reviews, but I felt compelled to after the kindness I experienced last night from the Ipanema crew.
My company has been hosting our annual Christmas party at Ipanema for over a decade, with more than 50 guests each year. The atmosphere and food are always wonderful. Last night, however, their kindness truly stood out.
My daughter’s car got stuck on a mound near the back entrance, not even on Ipanema’s property, but close by. I had no one to call for help, and the owner of my company suggested I ask if anyone from Ipanema might be able to assist. I approached a sweet older gentleman working in the dining area during dinner and explained the situation. Without hesitation, he walked me through the kitchen to two younger gentlemen, explained what had happened, and they immediately offered to help.
I walked them out to the car, apologizing and thanking them repeatedly for their generosity. They were so humble and reassuring, insisting it was no trouble at all. Between my employer’s son and these three amazing gentlemen, the car was unstuck and back on the road in no time.
I share this because they had absolutely no obligation to help — yet they did, with genuine kindness and humble smiles. It speaks volumes about the kind of people that make up the Ipanema team. Not only did our large group receive outstanding service during our dinner, but this moment revealed the true heart of the staff behind it all.

Food was exceptional, everything was fresh, hot, and delicious. We put in a reservation and did have to wait about 15 minutes to be seated still, also our server was very short with us. Beyond that the environment was wonderful.

I had been wanting to try out this restaurant for quite a while because so many people recommend it and I had never had any authentic Brazilian BBQ experience. But it turned out to be a major disappointment. The food was so so salty and it grossed me out quickly. They put a window around the kitchen so you can see how meat is roasted and what condiments they use and put on it. And they are very “generous” with the amount of salt used on the food. I personally hate this level of salt because it sabotages the original flavor of meat and, what is worse, it makes my body uncomfortable. Apart from that, the service was terrible. Because the meat was too salty, I wanted more diet coke but I waited for soooo long before the waitress finally came to our table to check on us. And there were so many times I almost made eye contact with her and even called her but she ended up ignoring me unintentionally.
The two guys in the kitchen were pretty nice and they served meat timely and provided great service. One of them remembered that we disliked the saltiness and catered for us by giving us meat on the inside.
Overall it was a mid experience to me, not mentioning that it was quite pricey as well.

Overall, the food was excellent. The bacon‑wrapped chicken and beef were especially delicious, and the other meats were tender and flavorful. The salad bar offered a great variety, with both prepared salads and plenty of fresh ingredients for building your own.
The hot bar featured mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, beef stroganoff, and mushroom gravy. I tried the potatoes and stroganoff and enjoyed both. I would have appreciated a selection of fresh, hot vegetables, but I didn’t see any available on the self‑service bars.
Service was very good, especially considering our party of 15 and the fact that it was a busy holiday weekend night. To clarify, I’m referring to our server—though the food handlers also did an excellent job keeping our plates filled with fresh, hot meats.
If I’m back in Ocala, I’d be happy to return.

The most beautiful light fixtures! Lots of food and variety for the money. The best grilled pineapple I’ve ever had! The salad bar was nice and clean. The people were kind and the food never stopped. The turtle cheesecake was worth it. My best friend had her birthday there and it was perfect. What a special treat!
