The Jalepeno bomb here is BOMB! So so good that I forgot to take a picture of it! But the actual sushi was just sub par. The rice was really wet and clumpy. At almost $20 a roll it should’ve been better. The edamame was ok – but not fully cooked.

I highly recommend the a la carte rolls, green mussels, and kirin beer (on tap). Other rolls and apps are good too. Ive made my way through half of the Specials menu so far.
Tip: Fridays and Saturdays are packed with almost no seating, but other guests and regular patrons are friendly. I’ve started going on Wednesdays or Thursdays. Those nights are a bit lighter. Enjoy!

This is undoubtedly my favorite sushi spot in Idaho, and I can not recommend it enough! Bar seating lets you place orders directly with the sushi chefs who are very kind and funny! Orders come out quickly and always have a lot of care put into the presentation. Make sure you grab yourself all-you-can-eat dinner prices for sampling all kinds of delicious rolls, including their iconic crystal shrimp!

Last few times I’ve gone here whether it’s by myself with or husband or with my friends, there is always someone who gets food poisoning. Every time without fail. Tonight it got both myself and my husband. The young lady who works there is always so polite and friendly. I can’t blame her for this. Might want to check on fish quality and cleanliness of chefs and utensils and such

I love this place supper good every time we go!They cater to my little one! They make her a peanut butter and jelly and roll it up so it looks like sushi. Makes her supper happy and feel involved.
They always make sure I’m full before I leave.
There is definitely a down fall. We typically will have to wait for our food for awhile which is fine because it’s what we know to expect from here. It is not unusual to wait 30-45 minutes before you get your sushi. I’ve seen people get up and leave because it is taking so long. I order the miso soup. It comes out pretty quick so at least I get something to snack on before our food comes out!
As for the restaurant it self. They could really use a lesson on cleaning. Sometimes there’s food on the floor or, it’s sticky for soy sauce. In between the wall and benches we’ve seen food. The blinds have been covered in, I’m assuming soy sauce.
Having said that the food is so good we go back every time. There is something for everyone here. People who have told me they don’t like sushi absolutely fall in love with the Kaun roll. I love tuna and avocado, so the olo nigiri is my favorite!

I’ve been going here for probably 6-7 years and had great experiences in the past. I went there today and it was just overall horrible. We didn’t get plates, no wasabi, no ginger, no sauce bowl. Our server even forgot to give us utensils until we asked. I had ordered 1 roll and was brought a random salmon dish. When I told her it wasn’t what I ordered, she took it back and brought out a random roll that was extremely plain and literally falling apart. It had taken 30 minutes to get what I asked for, so I just decided to eat whatever she gave me. Its sad to see this place go down hill, as this is my favorite sushi place in the treasure valley. But I might have to find a new one.

Johnny is awesome! Good company at the bar and he is great at reading what you like and making it on the spot! He made my husband the one in the first image off the menu. We call it mac-attack! If you want that, ask for the Mac -attack . Rice at the bottom, spicy scallop with light lemon on top, house sauce and some spicy on that all wrapped in tuna! They are so much fun here !!

First time going on Tuesday the 7th of May. They show you the meat they give at the counter where you can sit or at a regular table with 2 or 4 chairs. Expect the Parking to be apart of the theater next door and the other Food and sweat places as well. Don’t worry about it being raw sushi. They also cook the Sushi specifically salmon which is a common choice I’ve noticed from research and also a try for raw for those unsure. Both raw and cooked are very fresh, I did not get sick. They only do Sushi there as you would expect for a cultural perspective. The workers are social and will speak with the care you need. The atmosphere is expected by your point of view by choice wether your paranoid like me or when your looking for a very nice social place by getting out of your comfort zone which was my choice and love that!!! I have not spoken to anyone there but the service, whom are good people. They do what they can to make your service good for you. It looks low class inside to me a little bit but I think it’s nice and simple, despite the plates being more plastic weight form they are good to use as well. Don’t expect The chop sticks to be your only options of easy use or by hand chopsticks They have the choice as well for using forks with your sushi. They will treat you well. They speak English well. You may think they don’t speak well with an accent but, they do, trust me. Which is a plus and helps the business go well for sushi lovers and more of a beginner like me. I love sushi since going to IOU Sushi more than another place where it was made poorly. I will be going there again today with my brother!!!!!
Thank you IOU Sushi, for your service!!! May your best wishes come true for your growth as you do your part!!!!!
