Ordered Stewed Chicken with rice/peas and jerk Mac and cheese. This was by far the worst Jamican food I’ve had in years. The rice and peas was too sweet, cabbage not seasoned enough the chicken was extremely dry plus there was NO stew for stew chicken. The only item that I ordered that was good was the jerk chicken Mac and cheese. This was the first and LAST time eating there so disappointed.

Paid $18 or so for chicken curry. The flavor of the chicken and curry was good. The meat portion was pitiful. The plantain was pretty dry. I have been trying island food for many years all around Atlanta and this was by far the worst portion/price. Rice was mediocre. Service was very good staff was friendly and responsive. Left that place with -$23 in my pocket and still hungry and I don’t eat too too much. Chicken curry was VERY spicy compared to most all other ~over 80 chicken curries I have tried.

Upon arriving I was met with a hostile employee. I couldn’t hear her with all the noise from the dine in area and she was instantly frustrated with me because I couldn’t make out what she was asking that she began to scream at me. We waited about 15 mins to receive our food, by then I had walked toward the back to use the restroom. I encountered an employee doing another employees hair right in front of the bathroom. Once I exited the bathroom I seen the lady who touched the other ladies hair walk into the kitchen without washing her hands prior to entering back into a place where food is handled. A few minutes lady after sitting down a nice young lady came out to give us our food. I was already dizzy at this point,(8 months pregnant). I reached into the bag to take a bite of one of the patties I purchased. She was so frightened to tell me that I couldn’t eat anything. That I would have to have a plate and that the owner doesn’t allow that. I had not planned to dine in but after waiting so long I knew my sugar was low. Obviously the young lady felt for me but appeared frightened to say anything to anyone for fear of God Knows what or any backlash from the owner. I just spent over $100 in this establishment and I understand rules or rules but the way the lady responded with fear made me wanna offer her a job in my own business where she didn’t have to have that look on her face. Something is definitely fishy about this place, I won’t ever be returning.

I ordered the curry goat with plantains, rice and peas and veggies—and let me tell you, it took me right back to the authentic flavors I had in Jamaica a few years ago. Ionies absolutely nailed it. The dish was incredible. On top of that, the service was top-tier—genuine smiles and a warm welcome from the beautiful women who helped with our seating and served our food. I’ll definitely be back.

My client and I visited this restaurant on 02-04-2026. We purchased two small dinners and 5 patties to go. We decided to eat our food inside the restaurant, and was approached by the server that we couldn’t eat inside because we purchased small dinners in to go trays. This puzzled me, and my client. Our meals were $54.00 and we can’t eat inside because we didn’t order large meals. I didn’t see any posted signs regarding this matter, but did see a sign with no refunds. The food, experience, and customer service is the worst I have ever experienced in my life. My wish is that the owner values all of his/her customers purchases big or small with an inviting atmosphere,

We had the vegan stew, tofu(jerk,curry,brown stew), cabbage, rice & peas, and plantains, and every bite was seasoned with that rich, authentic island flavor. The stew was hearty and comforting, the cabbage had that perfect island-style sauté, and the plantains were fried just right — crispy on the outside, tender on the inside.
It’s not easy finding Caribbean spots that truly cater to vegans, but Ionie’s understood the assignment. You can taste the love and tradition in every dish, and the hospitality was just as warm as the food.
If you’re looking for real flavor without the meat, this spot is a must in Snellville. And of course — if you need a local vegan food rec or someone to help you buy or sell a home in the area, I’m always here for you.

Employees played and laughed while taking our order. We were expected to make a decision with no menu=prices displayed and talk over other customers making ordering. This is chaotic and leaves room for mistakes.
And unfortunately the food was just as bland as the service.
