Intentional Foods Cafe is the first restaurant in the nation free from the top 9 most common allergens. Enjoy a dedicated celiac safe, and allergy friendly menu with many vegan options. This concept was created with a desire to include the underserved food allergy community. Enjoy a safe meal, dessert, beer or cocktail all made with ingredients that have been vetted to be safe and delicious. Created by allergy mama Lisa Heath, inspired by her daughter Sarah.

Ned and Lisa deserve 10 stars for their amazing food! The delicious factor is out of this world, not to mention their incredible customer service. I seriously can’t eat here enough; I crave their meals – so healthy and such perfect combos of ingredients. And the baked goods? WOW. The churro donut is a must, but literally everything I’ve tried has been excellent.
I think it’s key to note that my husband, who has zero food allergies, also loves this place and quite genuinely chooses it over other dining options, so don’t let the allergy free part of it stop you from dining here if you don’t have food allergies. He is also the toughest critic of gluten free foods and is absolutely obsessed with their apple fritter donut. Thank you, Ned and Lisa, for creating this heavenly place!

Our new favorite place to eat. We will be booking our next birthday party there. We ate without any worries for the first time since being diagnosed with dietary restrictions. The owner and their daughter were there and the explained about their intention to pick better foods that also taste better. Wow I wish I could rate the food more stars!! First off, the food is delicious. The seating and atmosphere are pleasant, and the staff are warm and friendly. I don’t have any significant food allergies personally, but would happily eat at Intentional Foods regularly. But my wife and young nieces have multiple severe food allergies, and it makes eating out a challenge (and my brother’s family just skips eating out most of the time). It’s such a relief to know what you order is safe for everyone, and you could see the delight in my nieces’ reactions to be included, get to order their favorites, indulge in dessert, etc.

Since developing food allergies, this was by far the best restaurant experience of my life! We were visiting from out of town and I saw an article on “Visit Mesa” about the food inclusion initiative they have.
Only people with allergies understand the anxiety around eating out and hoping you won’t accidentally be exposed. The first thing we were asked was “What are your allergies?” My mind was instantly at ease. The food was wonderful and the service amazing! I can’t wait to come back.

I can’t even express the joy I had walking in this place!!! Everything we had was delicious, and they even have baked goods!!! Yay!!! I would not hesitate to come back here. Thank you for making a safe place for those of us with a food allergy. I met two friends here, both from different states, and they were also really happy.

Honestly, I think I talk about this restaurant at least once a week I love being able to turn my anxiety off a little bit when I come here because everything on the menu is safe for my (multiple) allergies and I can eat without worry.

Tried the hash bowl and it wasn’t what I expected but it was amazing. Quality ingredients for sure and if was very filling. Good upbeat music and nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Can’t wait to bring my friends and try other items on the menu.
