Ok so I saw the recommendations for Inside Cafe and it took a week to get there even though we are just a few blocks away… after a long arduous walk home from the botanical samctuary we decided to climb the stairs up to the rooftop deck area and check it out for lunch… They seem to have a lot of breakfast and lunch items that looked good on the menu… I had read about the recommendation for the Tandoori Grilled Cheese sandwich and the menu description made it sound even better… Then my wife ordered the exact same thing and I said that we couldn’t order the same sandwich we had to try two different things so we settled so we could share one having this and one having the Birria grilled cheese… now mind you I am not a huge grilled cheese sandwich fiction, not that I don’t enjoy a good grilled cheese, but I can’t even remember the last time I’ve ordered that at a restaurant… oh my God, you are missing something if you don’t order both of the sandwiches… The ladder was served like a Monte Cristo with a dipping jus… and I honestly can’t tell you which one I enjoyed more… I don’t know what cheeses they used. I can’t tell you everything that was on that sandwich, but I will probably go back and have the same order another time. One of the best sandwiches I have had in a long time… I can’t tell you about everything else on the menu, but anything that I saw other people having up on the deck was beautifully presented. I had a passionfruit lemonade that was sparkling, non-alcohol and delicious and the view of the church and downtown was just gravy on top… The service was great. The decor was simple though but nothing unique but the food was absolutely worth the visit.

Solid breakfast choice. The rooftop is small, just a few tables overlooking a bright yellow building and buzzing street. Dirty chai was delicious and hot. The Egglette was a bit oily but the eggs were cooked a perfect medium. Would go back!

Great breakfast spot in downtown San Miguel. The outdoor seating was cozy and lovely, the service was excellent, and the chilaquiles were a little different than usual but outstanding. We’ve had better café de olla elsewhere, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. Highly recommended.

It’s a hole in the wall that it’s definitely worth going. You have to go 2 or 3 floors up, there’s 2 terraces and it has very cute views. The dishes are quite big and well served. Very beautifully designed and good taste. The beans are not that good but in general is very good. Staff is attentive and friendly and super efficient.

The rooftop bar suffers from small, hard wooden chairs. The walk to the top requires multiple stairways that are steep. The happy hour spritzes had very little alcohol. The Golden Children dinner was average.

Breakfast was fairly good. We ordered 4 dishes and 3 was really good, but one didn’t have fresh herbs like the cilantro.
Drinks were pretty good too but came too late, towards the end of our breakfast.

From outside you will not notice much but try it! Good food and view from this area is different. And don’t worry servers spoke good English when needed so step in and have breakfast or lunch.

This is one of the best breakfast/brunch restaurants in San Miguel Allende! It’s quite literally a hole in the wall with a beautiful rooftop view of the city.

Great food and reasonably priced being in Centro. The place is small. You will have to wait about 45 minutes for your food. My first time but my girlfriend has been there many times and forgot to tell me it takes a long time to get your food.

Wow! I trying use google map to fin good restaurants but never recommend this one. Inside cafe recommend by my neighbor. Inside cafe have lunch sandwiches (not topic sandwiches), salad. but flavor international. I will try their dinner later. Asian food at night. Very good restaurant with amazing food with good price and good service! Rooftop have good view.
