Honestly the biggest surprise since I moved to Charlottesville. The Tacu tacu con lom was soooo good. Loved the seasoning of the steak (definitely has cumin in it) and the fried rice with beans. We were very impressed by the inka pollo which is breaded chicken breast with bell peppers wrapped inside with some creamy mushroom sauce and potatoes. Really perfectly done potatoes and the creamy mushroom was tasty!! Also can’t say how much I love the chololuma. The chocolate pudding was smooth and the fruit flavor with a taste of coffee (but actually no coffee) was impressive

Highly recommend Inka grill! They have some really tasty Peruvian food. You will be spending 20-30 dollars per person, but the quality very well reflects the price range.

We drove 70 miles to try Peruvian food and this place didn’t disappoint us. Server was great, had full knowledge of menu and helped us ordering. We tried steam salad, and multiple seafood dishes. Potions were huge and food was delicious. Will be back again, highly recommend and a must try when you visit Charlottesville.

I’ve been here several times, but this will definitely be my last time.

I had a terrible experience at this location. Everything from the disengaged staff, to the disgusting bathrooms without soap in the dispenser, to the fried fish being undercooked. I cannot recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal with sanitary conditions.

Before my meal even arrived I went to use the bathroom to wash my hands. The toilet had not been cleaned and there was no soap in the dispenser. I brought this issue to the wait staff’s attention. They blew me off and told me I just had to “push it hard.” I walked back in the bathroom opened the door dispenser confirming there was absolutely no soap in the dispenser. Only after I showed her the empty dispenser did she go to the back and refill it. So much for “all employees must wash their hands.”

I ordered the fried red snapper. The fish was completely translucent and raw underneath the fried skin. I again brought this to the waiter’s attention. He apologized and took the plate back to bring another one. Not even five minutes later he brought out another fish. Except it wasn’t another fish. They had re-fried the same fish and tuned it over to make it look like they had prepared a second fish. I couldn’t believe it. I asked the waiter if this was a new fish and he lied to my face and told me “yes.” I then flipped the fish over to show where I had taken bite earlier. He tried to act surprised and shocked, but it was very apparent what had happened.

I expressed my disappointment at the lack of customer service and integrity and asked to speak with a manager. The young woman (who added the soap to the empty dispenser in the bathroom) told me there was not one available.

At no time was there any recognition of the issue (the blatant misrepresentation ) or any meaningful attempts to correct it.

So, I walked out. Really disappointing.

Service was great, drinks were good, and this is generally a good place for Peruvian food. The Pollo Inka was really good. My husband had a lamb dish (not pictured) that he wasn’t too thrilled with thus the 4 stars for food.

The food here is absolutely delicious, especially piqueo marino and the fresh natural juices. I loved the passion fruit! If you want the real Peruvian experience, you have to try the ceviche de pescado with an Pilsen beer or chicha morada, and don’t miss the tres leches for dessert. Just amazing! The waiters are very friendly and attentive, always checking in to make sure everything is perfect during the visit

They really make you feel at home here. The service is so nice and friendly. The absolute star of the show is the seafood paella, my sister got it and I wish I did. That said my steak was also so delicious.

Every time I’ve ordered Lomo Saltado from a Peruvian restaurant , I’ve been given 2-3 meals worth of portions. That is until I ordered takeout from here. I don’t know why they are okay with giving half portions of steak and barely any veggies. If you try any other Peruvian restaurant they will treat you right, send you away full with a carry out. Really disappointed. Additionally the anticuchos were lacking their signature intensity of delicious flavor. It’s heartbreaking that some of the worlds best food was done so mediocrely.
