Wound up at this place by chance and glad I did. I ordered burnt ends, rib tips and chicken wings so that I could sample the menu. All 3 were really good. Nice portions and great flavor. I will be back.

I was looking forward to the tips based on the reviews. This is a small place inside of a gas station. Love the restaurant decorations and tables. Staff was friendly.clean. I got tips,corn bread ,baked beans dinner and a pork bowl to go. You know the bbq sauce in frozen dinners? Well those are better than the sauce on the tips. Tasted like tomato sauce with a bit of brown sugar. The tips were cooked to perfection but I just couldn’t eat them due to the sauce. Corn bread was bland. Baked beans were good. I wiped off most of the sauce off the top of pork bowl and was surprised that I did enjoy that. There was not enough meat on it but the marchese was good. I will not be back.

Drove in, saw it was a gas station, should have left, but I like local places.
The French fries and the corn bread were good. The Mac and cheese was soaked in cheese and not tasty. The coleslaw was awful looking, and the taste was disgusting.
The brisket was fair tasting but not where it should be. The pulled pork and pulled chicken were bland. We tried the bbq sauce, very vinegar and not tasty. The baked beans were terrible and tasted awful. The burnt wends were poor, no smoke flavor, just chunks of cooked meat.
We ended up throwing it all way.

We tried something new for our Thanksgiving meal and it was so good!!! The smoked turkey, smoked ham and brisket were a huge hit! The mac and cheese is perfection! Everything was still good reheated as leftovers. Great job!

Was a little worried when we pulled up and seen it was attached to a gas station, however that is the only disappointment. Really no big deal to me, as we still went in. Was greeted immediately even the doors where held open for us by a staff member. I got yhe tenderloin with mac n chs, hands down one of the best of both I’ve ever had. The tenderloin is served on texas toast, also new to me. I loved it! Hubby got 3 meats (pork, brisket, rib tips) with Mac n chs and cornbread. The biggest piece of cornbread, and soooo good. Every single meat was tender and full of flavor! We will definitely be back!! We looked on Google and found them, and drive over an hour so I’m supper glad it was so good!!

Whoa…Indianapolis has a major contender for world class BBQ at Porkopolis. I popped in for a quick sandwich. As a trained chef and KCBS certified BBQ judge, I have eaten my share of great BBQ. I’d put this place against any in the area. The brisket was seasoned perfectly with just the right amount of smoke. It passed all of the tenderness tests without being overcooked. The hot BBQ sauce perfectly complemented the beef. The bun was premium, and perfectly toasted. The collard greens were real-deal fresh and tasted like your Granny made them. Highly recommend! ***Edit*** I liked this place so much I hired them to do a large event (200+ people). They absolutely handled it like Champs. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. Service was amazingly organized. The party was a huge success, and these guys were a big part of it. Can’t recommend them enough!

I just tried this place 2 days ago and have now ate there twice. Took my daughter with me the second time and she has been talking about it since. Great food and service!!! I got the Pork Bowl both times I went. Mac n cheese is really good as well.

I got the rib tips meal with corn bread, baked beans, and collard greens. I got the hot BBQ sauce on my rib tips. It was all very delicious! Some of the best cornbread I’ve ever had! The BBQ sauce has just the right kick to it. Not too hot at all. Portions were amazing!
